New CDs out this week

Dave Matthews Band & Weezer, any thoughts?

I don't have the new Weezer yet, probably pick it up this weekend. I've been listening to the new DMB alot since I got it and I really like it.

Should be a great summer for new stuff: Coldplay, Audioslave, System of a Down, Foo Fighters all have new releases on the way.

Re: New CDs out this week

Did Dave Matthews finally release an album that doesn't sound like the rest of his albums? I loved him when he came onto the scene and since then, it's like he has rehashed the same beats every album.

I AM looking forward to Audioslave and Coldplay however. Should be a couple of good ones.

Re: New CDs out this week

I'm waiting for system of a downs cd next week, I might pick up weezers new one, and I can't wait for the new foo fighters and audioslave cds. I'm also hoping Linkin Park puts out a new cd this year and I've heard that the Wallflowers, who've somewhat dissapeared the past couple years, have a new cd in the works.

Does anybody have the new Queens of the Stone Age cd and is it better, worse, or the same as the first cd?
And how about that new Limp Bizkit cd

Re: New CDs out this week

Blah - I hope Chris Cornell hurrys up on the imminent overdose that actually kills him so the best band of all time can get back together instead of being reduced to whiny overvocalized ballads.

DMB I never really could get into. Poor lyrics companied with an annoying twang somehow became popular.

Weezer has had some good stuff, not sure about the new album.

FooFighters the same way. Had some really good songs. Good band to see live!

System of a down isn't bad, but they also have the problem of sounding the same in a lot of songs.

Linkin Park will put out another crap CD during the summer. They already have what, 4 CDs in their short stint? The two regular ones, ReAnimated and greatest hits type of one? The one with Jay-Z? So 5? That's a lot in a short period. Their music is good to work to, but I wonder how much longer they can produce any kind of quality.

Yessir. Sara Evans is damn good and fine. Just recently, the gf and I went to see Rascal Flatts, Kenney Chesney and Uncle Kracker. We went to Toby Keith a few months ago. I like all music and country is in my top 3 genres.

Re: New CDs out this week

My wife had an order at Amazon, so I had her pre-order me the System of a Down CD. Just wish I could see them at the 9:30 club tonight.

I also want the new Gorillaz CD...their last album was incredible.

I was into DMB in the beginning, when no one knew who they were. Then, all of a sudden, he's plastered all over the radio and MTV, and everyone was up his butt. I went to a few of DMB's concerts, which caused me to stop listening altogether because the crowd sang everything. The cut off his new album is decent, so I may give it a whirl.

the wife's going to see Kenny Chesney on June 4th...i went with her to see Tim McGraw last year. I'll listen to the music, but I think i'll let her go to the concerts on her own.

I actually went to that same tour, Malcom (kenny, rascal and Uncle Kracker). I absolutley loved the show; Kenny Chesney has a great perfromer and rascal flatts is good too. But Sara Evans.....drop dead gorgeous. Thats for sure.

That tour was pretty good. I was kind of skeptical going to that one but I was impressed with what a good show it was.

My Girl friend and Mom love country. Some of it is all right. But most of it drives me up the wall. How many songs can you wright about getting drunk & loosing your Wife or Dog?? There are a few great country artist out there.I mean a small few.
I like the Eagles!

Yes, I agree. Pretty much my musical philosophy is I like everything except the extremes. I like country, but I don't like to hear about dogs, guns or drinking. I like rap, but I don't like to hear about dogs, guns or drinking. WOW, what similarities.

Pit Bull = Golden Retriever
Shotgun = Ghat
Old Milwaukee = Colt .45
