Sean Taylor's Contract
I haven't been to the warpath for a while so I apologize if this has been discussed already...
Am I the only one that is irritated with players demanding their contract be renegotiated? So far this year you have Taylor, Ed Reed, Owens, Corey Dillon, the list goes on... Before they sign doesn't the player's association review the contract as well? |

Re: Sean Taylor's Contract
SKINS73, yes, he does need to feed his family a steady diet of Escalades, plasma TVs and 23" rims.

Re: Sean Taylor's Contract
exactly. i mean, who can feed their family on 49 million. it's unheard of of how little these players get paid. i want to see these guys get 100 million contracts, you know, while the rest of us middle class people live like so called kings

Re: Sean Taylor's Contract
Everyone knows my position on pro athletes, actors and the rest who get paid ludacrous amounts for doing their jobs.
The biggest waste of money I've ever seen is how Mystikal got the "dome" of his house coated in gold. Are you f-in kidding me?!

Re: Sean Taylor's Contract
I do think Sean Taylor has a bigger gripe than most. He got screwed on his rookie contract, why? So he wouldn't be a camp holdout! Let's help the man out and keep him happy.

I could see it next year if Taylor has a really great season. But you don't want to set a precedent. The next guy that has a greedy agent whispering in his ear will say it worked for Sean. Why not me? That's not a good thing for our Skins.

Re: Sean Taylor's Contract
Exactly! This is how I see it: Play under the deal that you signed....for at least a couple years. Bad deal or not, it is a SIGNED contract, isn't it? After two (or three) quality years, then talk about wanting a new one.
From what I've read, it seems that it is an heavily incentive laden contract, so if he plays as well as most of us think he will, he will make those incentives and his contract won't be so "bad". |

Re: Sean Taylor's Contract
No kidding! Can't you just see Snyder calling Taylor to let him know that he's not getting the best deal he could.
If you and your fancy million dallor agent sign the contract. Then you only have your self to blame. Suck it up Sean!!!!!!

Re: Sean Taylor's Contract
Exactly what I was going to say. Maybe that will teach him to pick a better agent. We can't set this precedent, ESPECIALLY with Rosenhaus.

Re: Sean Taylor's Contract
Not saying it's the Redskins fault. Compare his salary to other top 10s that year.
