Special Teams

Is it just me or does it look to you guys that or coaching staff has made a point to improve on our special teams. Feild position is one huge way to help our offense this season and they indirectly will win some games for us. Have any of you noticed this trend?

Re: Special Teams

I think they did. I mean they drafted 2 FB's and LB's, and those guys are probably going to be spending plenty of time on special teams. Gibbs has always been a big special teams guy. Most of his players started off by playing ST.

If we can block we have about 12 capable returners now...

True, we do have plenty. Heres my list:

Antonio Brown
Santana Moss
Chad Morton
Rock Cartwright
Ladell Betts
James Thrash
David Patten? (I'm not sure if he ever did it in NE)

Dude, if we use all 12 on returns we may just stand a chance. Do you think the ref's will notice?

Re: Special Teams

I'm anxious to see what Antonio Brown can do for an entire season. Again, I'm anxious to see what could happen if we put Brown AND Morton back there.

Do you think Morton will still be around this year?

We are the Skins they notice pentalties that aren't even pentalties. If we played 10 we would get flaged for not enough men on the field.

I'm NOT anxious to see the cap hit we would take for it, in addition to the fact that it never hurts to have another great return man waiting in the wings.

On Mike and Mike earlier this week Joe Gibbs was on and he specifically said the later picks were to help Danny (Smith) and the special teams
