he said he'd be calling to ask him soon... he's talked to DW a few times before though (he was part of the tampa coaching staff that volunteered and used there time to scout too)

I doubt it. Both John Friesz back in '93, and Danny Wuerfful used it just a few seasons ago, and I don't remember either of them having to get permission to use it. I think that's only for the semi-retired numbers, like #7 or #9. |

Well thats just shows you the class that Campbell has for the game and the players that helped shaped it. This kid has so much potential really. I can't wait to see him on the field.

I can't believe we drafted a QB. We cannot have one year without a QB controversy!

Well if Ramsey wasn't bad we wouldn't have a problem. I'm sorry but this kid is ruined. Spurrier destroyed any bit of potential he had. Ramsey has had plenty of time to get that stuff out of his head, but still continues to mkae poor decisions. Sure he needs more playing time, but it isn't going to help. Ramsey is offically "Dead man walking."

Re: Jersey Numbers: Rogers #32, Campbell #17
I disagree that Ramsey is ruined. However, if that's what you belive, you need to put a lot of blame on Joe Gibbs for that too. Every coach he's ever had has done nothing but shake his confidence by yanking him in and out of the lineup. Gibbs has been no different thus far. If he is ruined, last year contributed to that.
I'm tired of hearing how things should motivate people. "Campbell coming in should motivate Ramsey." Not everyone works the same way. Ramsey seems to be shaken by things like this. It didn't motivate Brad Johnson. Didn't motivate Kurt Warner when Eli got drafted. It did motivate Brees. Not everyone responds the same way. I don't think being forced to look over their shoulder truly motivates anyone. You just respond to fear. |

Some people want to know the job is theirs and not have to worry about competition, lets them relax and play their game!

Re: Jersey Numbers: Rogers #32, Campbell #17
Wow, Campbell holding up #17 reminds me of Doug Williams! As I said before, a good QB needs nerves of steal to be successful and if he is going to let something like his team signing another QB affect his playing, then we probably didn't need him to begin with.

I disagree. Just like I said in another post, these people aren't robots. Some things affect people differently.

Poor little Patrick will need to get over it! If he plays good every thing else will take care of itself.
Just look at what Drew Brees did last year in San Diego! Philip Rivers didn't seem to shake him up all that much! If your QB can't play under some pressure then really, he can't play!

Patrick has no choice but to get over it, or get lost. I do not think SPurrier ruined him, but he sure as hell didn't help him any! Look, this is the NFL. You've got to earn it with your coach and teammates each and every play. Pat's gotta win us some games, and bring us from behind in the 4th a few times. That's what good NFL QBs do. He has to take the next step!
