See any Pro-bowlers on that list?
How many still on the team even?

Re: Who wants to see something depressing?

yeah... lavar and samuels have been to probowls. smoot was a great pick as was champ(probowler) and i still think ramsey was a good pick.dockery has been a starter. rock.c was a great pick for 7th rounder.
taylor is a great pick. jansen should be a probowler.

so yes i see probowlers on the team.

but the thing that bothers me is the number of picks we've had in the last 3 draft and the players that are good picks that we dont keep on the team like smoot.

there is no point in drafting well if you are going to let your good draft picks leave at the prime of their careers.

i see plenty of pro bowlers. lavar (3 selections), chris samuels, champ bailey, jon jansen (he should be). so what's the big deal. you can measure their success by how many pro bowls they've been to, but there are other factors also.

If you don't win, good players don't go to the pro-bowl. If you win, less good players go (see this year's crop of iggles--many desreved it, but some did not, IMHO).

Win, and the rest follows. Give me a team of blue-collar guys that wins anyday.

Lavar has been slightly overrated and may not have deserved to make it last time, plus he maybe hurt, plus he may not play because his contract or whatever. Any way you cut Samuels he is not living up to expectations plus he is WAY overpaid. Last I checked Bailey doesn't play for the Skins,(and I still don't think we got value for him)

As for Jansen yeah I think he has a good future in front of him however seeing how Ramsey is reportly his best friend how the front office treats him may dictate how much longer he will be here.

The point I guess not everyone sees is even if the draft choices pan out the player jumps ship faster than the rats.

Re: Who wants to see something depressing?

It looks like our most successful drafts were in 80 and 81 and under not Casserly, but Bobby Bethard......you don't measure draft by pro-bowlers, but the success of the team....don't forget those steady, hard working, role players.........
In an article from the Washington Times in 2003...........
Beathard, who from 1978 to 1989 constructed a Redskins club that played in four Super Bowls and won three titles. The last championship came after the 1991 season, by which point he had moved on to the San Diego Chargers.

When Snyder took over the team, Beathard almost took the GM job, then decided to go with the Falcons as a consultant.........
