Your Ideal 1st Round
With the Skins sitting at #9 & #25 what is your best case scenario? What I would like to see is:
-Trade from 9 to 14, pick up a 1st next year and a 3rd this year and draft Carlos Rogers at 14. -At 25 draft Heath Miller, Matt Jones or if available, Mark Clayton.. -or- If Mike Williams is available they HAVE to take him at #9, then use #25 for Fabian Washington or Justin Miller or trade the pick for a veteran defensive player, either Nate Clements or Darren Howard. |

Re: Your Ideal 1st Round
I am liking this move...I think. As long as they are trading for more picks or a defensive player.

I'd like to see us take Merriman at #9 and Fabian Washington at #25.

Re: Your Ideal 1st Round
#9 Troy Williamson (hope he lasts this long)
#25 Trade to Buffalo for Nate Clements and mid-rounder this year. or #9 Carlos Rogers #25 Mark Clayton (if he's there) or best available DE. |

Re: Your Ideal 1st Round
Wow. So hard to decide! I have three scenarios:
1: Mike Williams 25: Fabian Washington / Cory Webster 1: Mike Williams 25 + Gardner to get enough for a slightly better CB. Not sure how far up that would move us! Trade down the first just a few spots - get WIlliamson. Then use the extra pick(s) and Gardner to get Rogdgers. Or stick with the 25 and extra picks. Either way, CB and WR are thick in this years draft. I just think it makes more sense to go with a WR first and a CB later.

Re: Your Ideal 1st Round
Daseal, do you want Willamson as our TOP choice or just because you don't feel Williams or Edwards will be there at that pick?

Re: Your Ideal 1st Round
Stay at 9 and get Rolle,
if he is gone at 9 trade down to 14-16 and get Rodgers at 25 take Heath Miller, Roddy White, Mark Clayton, or Matt Roth If we trade up into top 5: Mike Williams if he is not there it is not worth it!!! |

Re: Your Ideal 1st Round
couple things i wouldn't mind...
#9: get williams -> rolle -> pac man -> merriman -> rodgers #25: get rodgers -> campbell -> jones i wouldn't want to move up to get edwards, he's got a super huge ego already and he drops balls... there's 3 solid cbs and i think all three would be great (though i would have rather gotten dyson for 5years/18mill with a 3mill signing bonus. seattle got a steal)... if trading gardner to move up a spot or two helps, good riddance. |

Re: Your Ideal 1st Round
My ideal would be Mike Willimas at #9 and the best available CB at #25. If there is no good CB at #25 maybe they could slide down into round #2 and draft one there.

Re: Your Ideal 1st Round
Ideally?
Trade 9 to drop a slot or two and pick up a second or third and draft Rogers/Rolle/Jones (whomever is left). Trade down out of 25 for a second (this year) and first (next year) and draft best DE/WR available in round 2. Essentially, trade down, get picks. The draft is a fricking crapshoot. You increase your odds of scoring a hit by getting more picks. Are any of these guys sure fire pros? Nope, not one. Take as many shots with high picks as you can and pray. If we can parlay 9 and 25 into a couple of first rounders and a couple of seconds and thirds - good deal! |

Re: Your Ideal 1st Round
Ideally and realistically, I'm leaning toward:
Trade down a few spots from #9 and get Carlos Rogers or Pac Man. Stay at #25 and draft Roddy White, or the best WR available. Trade Gardner plus whatever we get in the trade down, and take a gamble on Channing Crowder in the second round or another promising ILB or DE (depending on what value is available).

Re: Your Ideal 1st Round
I'd be perfectly happy with that scenario.

Re: Your Ideal 1st Round
I like the trade down #9 to get the best CB and decent pick/s.
Then best WR at 25. Use the new pick to get a TE or DE. That would shut up the pundits and make me very happy. But it requires a willing acomplice in the teens to trade with. NO trade ups! NO QBs!
