Skins vs. Eagles Post-Game

It wasn't a bad game.

Positives -

Cousins looked superb. The guy's a starter.

O-Line looked much better.

DJax - Glad he got his TD.

Negatives -

Injuries - Losing D Hall is going to suck. And when losing D Hall means your secondary is going to blow, that's not a good thing.

Penalties - I don't know how many we had, but it was a friggin TON. Someone let me know how many total penalties we had this game.

Secondary - They sucked for a whole 60 minutes. Not good.

Refs - Really refs? There were all sorts of non-calls on the defensive side of the ball. At least they got the ejections cleared up.

Special teams -

Re: Skins vs. Eagles Post-Game

A team loss IMO:

- Offense did not score points after the defense made key stops (or kept the Iggles to a FG)

- Defense gave up way too many plays

- ST...they just stink.

Positives: I think we can beat a lot of teams with this team. I'm concerned about the injuries and some of the bonehead stuff we saw today (Baker).

Re: Skins vs. Eagles Post-Game

The first real offense the Skins played exposed a lot of the flaws on the defense.

The offense and Cousins kept the team in the game. Once Cousins started to throw inaccurately, the game was decided.

I thought the Oline protected well today which is great considering the rotation that was forced on them because of the injuries.

Still when your defense and special teams allows almost 40 points and 400 yards, your offense pretty much as to be perfect, and it almost was.

Look like Baker's been rolling with D. Hall in his spare time.. I know if Hall wasn't injured, it would've been him with the ejection.

Man if Hatcher is injured too, this is bad news. I'm guessing if D.Hall has a torn achilles he's done for the year. We might be in for a long year on defense, maybe we'll be ok against the Jacksonville's of the NFL but I'm definitely not looking forward to playing good offensive teams.

We played one today. Chip Kelly is the real deal. his team is falling apart though.
All of the teams are getting hit with injuries. I think we will be ok.

Re: Skins vs. Eagles Post-Game

I also think we had some very untimely bad plays at the end there. Just consider, after KC threw that pick did anyone think we would be in a position to tie or win with under two minutes left? Gotta give credit to the offense for at least putting us back in that position after being down 10 with 6 minutes to go.

Re: Skins vs. Eagles Post-Game

Penalties were actualy close to same. But ours were much more yds, and lot of no calls in philthYs favor, especially hit on a qb well after the whistle!

Bring back the replacement refs.

Re: Skins vs. Eagles Post-Game

Negatives:

ST play

Haslett's lack of adjustment on D (what else is new)

No pass rush playing against 3 or 4 non starters on their OL

Not using Ryan Grant (was targeted once)

Missed FG by injured Forbath

Miscommunication by Cousins and WR on at least to critical occassions

Re: Skins vs. Eagles Post-Game

I didn't get to watch the game but the score doesn't surprise me at all. Figured this one could go either way. What pisses me off is the Skins should be 2-1 after watching the G-men donkey stomp the Texans.

I'm not sure they're all drunk. Anybody who can't find something good to say about the Skins after today's game should find another team to follow and leave the rest of us alone. That's putting how I feel about it very mildly.

Didn't Arian Foster miss that game?

Yes he did. But still...

The giants game is a must win. We can't slept to 1-3 and last place and hope to make any noise this year. But I think we will win. ST needs to right the ship already.
