Rambo waived

Redskins waive Rambo

I don't think this is all that surprising.

Re: Rambo waived

A shame -- I was hoping that his second year would show the kind of growth that Amerson has exhibited.

Wrong! It's all about Rambo. You can't do what Rambo did and survive. I'll grant you that Robinson playing well may have helped push Rambo out the door sooner.

Re: Rambo waived

Gave up two big plays in back to back weeks. Not surprising.

Re: Rambo waived

I wanted to wait until I felt our other backups were to speed, but if the coaches trust them I will too. Thank goodness Meriweather is back, but I think he's a time bomb, because his next hit will probably get him suspended again.

Re: Rambo waived

A little surprised, but just can't miss those tackles two weeks in a row. I am a bit curious now about our salary cap. We were pretty tight once it went to counting all 53. Can't believe we have much space at all.

here is an interesting look from overthecap.com at all the teams IR and dead cap moneys
Lost Salary Cap Dollars in the 2014 NFL Season | Over the Cap

we are either 4th or 5th highest, depending on if their chart includes Rambo (I assume it doesn't)

Redskins
IR $10,802,475
Dead Money $11,289,773
Total $22,092,248

Re: Rambo waived

Rambo was a 6th rounder, right? I can't imagine he had much of a cap hit.
