Skins-Jags Positives and Negatives
Positives:
40 burger - haven't enjoyed a blowout like this in a long time Kirk Cousins - for 1 game at least, you looked awesome. Young guys - Morris did his thing, Ryan Grant looking good, Silas Redd looking good, Niles Paul looking good Defense - If we can play this way every week, we will play a lot of close games 10 sacks!! - Awesome group effort tying a Redskins record! Ryan Kerrigan - awesome game, 4 sacks, if my memory is correct I think that ties him with Orakpo and Manley for most sacks in a single game Special teams - memory might be bad on this one but return game was good, we didn't give up any big returns, no blocked anythings, no major penalties = what I expect our ST to look like Negatives: Penalties - still too many for my liking. Detractors will point out the Seahawks led the league in penalties last year and won the SB. Fair point, I will let this slide if the Redskins manage to go the distance this year. Bacarri Rambo - not sure if fans like him because of his last name or if they believe late round picks should be solid starters. Either way, I'm done with him. Once Nacho gets up to speed I will be happy to see Rambo hit the road. It's not just his poor angles, it's the poor tackling, combined with the fact he let a slow tight end beat him to the end zone. So you're not fast, you can't tackle, and you take poor angles? And you don't play ST either? What the hell are we keeping you for then? The worse part is the fact that Meriweather is one big hit away from an even longer suspension. NFL trying to get rid of big hits - I understand the league's perspective, they can point to these flags and fines as proof they are trying to make the league safer in the event of another lawsuit. But coaches everywhere preach keeping your head up, and seeing what you tackle. You can't do that and lay the wood anymore, otherwise it's a personal foul. I guess the NFL would rather tacklers risk being paralyzed by keeping their heads tucked in when they tackle vs. have any big hit where the two heads come within a foot of each other. And finally, the injuries. RG3 dislocated ankle. Def. not looking good. DeSean Jackson AC joint sprain. day to day. Roy Helu quad strain, day to day. Shawn Lauvau: knee inflamation, day to day. |

Defense looked good all around (i know, it's the jags) but that's what a good defense is SUPPOSED to do to a team like that.

Taking care of business at home. Congrats to jay for first win. This defense has done exactly what they should have so far this season, I'm ready to see how they play against the eagles. Just a great win and to get rid of the losing streak is huge.
Penalties are bad, but 4 penalties on special teams is horrible.

What is the average timetable for a dislocated ankle?

The Skins played an outstanding game. Too many positives to list them all.
RGIII has my sympathy. He has had more than his share of serious injuries.

Re: Skins-Jags Positives and Negatives
Depends on the damage really, and each situation is different. I've had 2 and it was a 6 month recovery. I didn't have surgery though. It all depends on whether there is a fracture to go along with the dislocation. It depends on the damage to the ligaments/tendons and if he'll need surgery. You really won't know until after the MRI is complete.
I wouldn't plan on him being back this year to be honest.

Big Positive: The front seven was balling! Let's hope they can carry that same intensity into Philly next week.

Positives:
RG3 leaving the game. DLine Morris And my Cousin. Negatives: Rambo....he should be cut tomorrow. D. Hall...he was mediocre all day. RG3...for being his usual stupid self. Zero vision plus awful throwing mechanics usually get you hurt.

Positives (in a petty division rivalry way)
we scored more than Philly did. We gave up less than Philly did. |

I'm a little disturbed at the fact that some people are happy RG3 was injured...keep it classy...
