Williams and the 11-man blitz

On the first play of camp, Williams sends an 11-man blitz at Gibbs. How cool is that! First, it shows great spirit and a sense of fun and competition. Second, as Williams said, it sets the tone for this D: we are going to come at you every which way but loose. Right on! Gibbs laughed about it and said "the defense always cheats!"

It sounds like the players and coaches are psyched, working hard, and having fun. It's a great time to be a Washington Redskin.

If I am this psyched up by the first day of MINICAMP, how is it going to feel when the skins take the field for the first real game of the season? My head is going to explode! :headbange

I thought it was a great way to break the ice and it also set the tone for the defense. It sent a clear message, expect the unexpected.

The only thing better....

The only thing better would have been to go after HOF Coach Gibbs, right after going against Brunnell! I mean to go, wrap him up, collectively, and hug him like nobodys business, not tackle! He is just what this team has needed, and he needs to feel the love too!
I like the fact that he had Referees out there and everything! How many times have we seen false starts!
