Re: Around the NFL Week 12

You start an "Around the NFL" thread with that?

Around the NFL:

*Aaron Rodgers still not ready to return
*Jay Cutler may have serious injury, not returning soon
*Wes Welker still has not passed concussion tests going into game vs. NE.
*Sam Bradford had his ACL surgery this week
*Case Keenum starting over Schaub for Texans again despite being replaced with Schaub last game.

Who knows...maybe he was supposed to be at work and the boss saw him on TV...doing this.

I love this guy's press conferences. You can feel the fear coming from the reporters in that room. LOL Scared shitless to ask BB a question.

I thought this was a good tweet.

Hey look, game-winning INT for Patriots in 2010. Garcon was the target & held. Ball underthrown. No flag. pic.twitter.com/jBJya8OjxS

Same situation, same call.

I think the problem comparing the two plays is a ref actually threw a flag. That is the only problem I have with the no call. If you are going to call it then throw the flag and call it, don't throw it and then try to talk yourself out of it.

Also comparing a play from three years ago without actually having seen the play and just getting a picture is not comparable to me.

A.) no flag was thrown and then picked up
B.) garçon is 5 yards+ away from the int whereas in the MNF game Grunk was 2 yards away.
Not close to being the same situation.

That's actually pretty close, in the picture referenced you can see garçon trying to fight his way to the ball. Gronk never made much of an effort to come back to the ball. I think if he would have the call would have stood. He more or less ran his route out the back of the endzone, the pass was short as hell.
