Nascar 2013
Not that many of us give a rats ass about NASCAR, but I thought I'd show some of the highlights and history from this weekends big race. Danica Patrick was the first woman to ever win the pole at Daytona, and the first woman in NASCAR to lead a lap under the green flag. Big props to her on her showing coming in 8th.
As many know, there was a huge crash in Saturday's race. Kyle Larson (and others) are very fortunate. A view from the stands. Some scary stuff. Imagine a tire landing on you. Also, we have 50cent trying to kiss Erin Andrews while she's on air. Poor Erin Andrews. 50 cent is such a idiot. /cringe 50 Cent's Attempt To Kiss Erin Andrews Was One For The Ages

Re: Nascar 2013
I don't watch every race but I always watch Daytona.
I was pulling for Gibbs' new driver Matt Kenseth until his engine blew up. He was leading for a while. Then Busch's engine blew the next lap. Danica ran a great race. I was impressed that she even completed all 200 laps unscathed, but being in 3rd on the last lap...maybe she has finally figured it out. She's a tough little lady and I think she'll be in contention for a couple of wins this year.

Re: Nascar 2013
I am a Nacsar fan, I watch every race that is on broadcast TV and if it isn't on free TV I listen on the radio. Went to many Nascar events when I lived in Southern California a few years back. Looking forward to catching some local races here in Virginia. I am bad luck to tracks thinking back to all the major, and minor auto racing tracks I have been to that have been torn down. The only track I have been to locally is Old Dominion Speedway the thing was in existence 60 years then I show up a few times and it gets torn down in 2012.

Re: Nascar 2013
Flipped to the race (being delayed) yesterday while channel surfing. I think I enjoyed watching some highlights of previous races, wrecks, and feuds, more than I would have enjoyed watching an actual race.

Re: Nascar 2013
I saw the end but not much else.
Yeah, good to see a Skins fan win, although I was pulling for Hamlin to pass him on the last lap. I always root for Gibbs drivers. All 3 finished in the Top 20, would have been all 3 in the Top 10 without that last wreck too, Busch got caught in it.

Re: Nascar 2013
I have Hamlin in a weekly pool a few of us longtime friends have. How can he be hard to root for? I can understand not liking Kurt or Kyle because they act like A-hole's but Hamlin hasn't done anything wrong that I know of.

Re: Nascar 2013
Hamlin been known as a bit of a spoiled brat/hot head.
There is really only one guy I really like whose kinda of a jerk/hothead...Smoke. You remember when Gibbs had to hire like security for Tony Stewart when he walked around in the pits? Hilarious I pull for Dale Jr, but Smoke is a close second. Drivers I cant stand: Kurt Bush because he is a flat out psycho asshole, Joey Lagano, rich kid punk.

Kyle's aggressive and has had run-ins but that doesn't bother me. Denny...what has he done? I bet Smoot is just a UPS fan. He likes what brown does for him. Tony Stewart is the one that's easy to hate. I've actually seen him in action at a local dirt track and everything people like to say about his attitude and massive ego is true. He's the least fan-friendly driver I've encountered by far. Usually, a big NASCAR name coming to a little, local sprint car track would be something the fans would be excited about. The whole place was rooting against him that night.

Hamlin, unless he's changed in the past couple of years, does not treat his crew well. He's quick to blame others for mistakes on the track, with the car, etc. but rarely points the finger at himself. Tony Stewart, as one example, is a "We're all in this together, win or lose" kind of guy with his crew. Hamlin isn't. Wasn't at least
