28 teams wanted us on their schedule

heard an interview on the way home with Gibbs..evidentally before the preseason schedule is created all teams in the NFL submit a list of teams they would like to play in the preseason. Evidentally 28 of a possible 31 teams listed the Skins as somebody they wanted to play...what should we take from this guys? Everybody thinks we suck or they just want to get a good look at us for later in the postseason?

I'm sure they wanted to host us and boost ticket sales, that was probably the ultimate motive

Joe FREAKING Gibbs. I hope they all think we suck, In fact I hope every non-redskin fan on this earth thinks we are the apitamy of professional sports. I love being the heel.

Yeah I was talking to one guy today in class...he says he gives Gibbs three years...he'll either get fired or quit. I was biting my tongue on that one! All I said was...just wait!

I say first round playoffs this year, and next year all the way. With all the parity in the NFL, it's definitly possible.

I wonder how many teams wanted to play the C-Boys in Pre when the Tuna signed on..?

I'm sure it was probably close to what the skins recieved.

Probably the three teams in the NFC East did not want to play the Skins in preseason since they will play them at least twice in the regular season. And most likely the Skins don't want to play them either.

can in-division opponents actually play each other in the pre-season? I don't remember ever seeing it and the refrence to "28 teams" would seem to back that up.

Sounds like all the teams want to get extra dough for having a game against the Skins as well as getting a good pre-season practice against a know genius. I personally think the primary reason is for financial reason because playing the skins at FedEx or having them come into town means ticket sales. I know for a fact that the Seahawks suck at selling tickets to their own fans but if the skins were to come into town every skins fan in the Seattle area would go to the game...hell, I’d even take some of my non-skins fans to the game.
