Cap Update
Here's how the numbers breakdown for the Skins' recent moves (since the last cap sheet update 2/7). The info out there is sketchy so these are my best estimates. Also this doesn't include Barrow or Patten. The post is a little long, so if you just want the summary scroll to the bottom.

Re: Cap Update
Good to know... Maybe we can actually SAVE some money this year and not break the bank on those "big" signings. I just want to see another good pick in the draft like Taylor was. I also LOVE the Patten signing. That way if Jacobs doesn't pan out, we might have another good WR from the draft.

Re: Cap Update
Canuck, I absolutely love that you keep track of the salary cap like this. I noticed one thing though on Rabach's salary cap figures. It appears that you are allocating the $4.5 million in bonuses over the life of Rabach's contract. This should be done for the $2.5 million signing bonus, but not for the $2 million roster bonus. Roster bonuses only hit the cap in the year that they are paid out.
Thanks for the good work man, I love your spreadsheet. |

Re: Cap Update
Canuck,
I know this is getting old, but I'll add to the applause. Your cap updates are very valuable to those of us who are interested in our cap situation but haven't got a firm idea of where we stand after all the recent roster changes. You're guning for and deserve this month's MVP (most valuable poster). |

Re: Cap Update
I don't know about that RamseyFan! Smootsmack had some outstanding stuff on the best FA's and the best potential Draftees! Each poster has his strengths!
My eyes cross everytime I read CC's great posts, but my heart pounds faster when I see that stuff on FA's and Draftees! The anticipation is then heightened for the upcoming NFL season, just like your mouth watering when you walk into a Candy store! As I said: Each poster has his strengths!

Re: Cap Update
Smootsmack....I mean backrow (chuckle), Smootsmack is a very valuable poster as well. That's why he is a moderator. I'm just saying IMHO, I love Canuck's posts because they have a very direct impact on Smootsmack's posts because they reveal our ability to even consider free agents.
