Here's a Revenue Stream Danny Boy Missed
The Patriots have initiated the "Pass It On" Program. If a season ticket holder dies the tickets now revert to the Patriots immediately upon his.her death and if the season ticket holder wants to "Pass Them On" in his will to someone else, it will cost between $2000 and $5000 paid from the estate of the deceased or the tickets will be sold to someone else. Obviously, the beter the seats, the higher the price to the Pats. Oh, yeah, that payment is over and above the renewal price for the season tickets. It's like a personal seat license for lying in a coffin.
Danny Boy will surely come up with a variant on this one starting in 10 ...9...8...7...

Man on man that is fairly low. I honestly can't think of anything that Dan has done lower than that.

Wow now there is a novel approach to a revenue stream. Expect a mutiny here if he tries it. Can you give us the link to the Patriots site for this, as I would love to see why they do this.

Re: Here's a Revenue Stream Danny Boy Missed
Sorry Malcom but Danny has pulled one just as bad. He constructed 5000 seats with obstructed views and then got people who had requested seat changes to pay for them up front without being able to see that the view was obstructed by pillars and overhang.
Also, remember that Danny Boy come up with the idea to let some people on that long waiting list jump ahead of people who had been on the list for 20 years by paying about $5K to join some stupid club that allowed them to eat hot dogs under a canopy before games. And there are more deals like that coming along so all that time loyal fans spent on the waiting list dosn't mean a damned thing because DAnny Boy will find a way to let peop[le with cash jump the line. That is pretty much like a weasel in my book... CRT3, there will never be a mutiny among Redskin fans because in Washington the Skins games are "socially important". Many people go to Redskin games not to watch the game; in fact many people would not be able to name three Redskin players. They go there to "be seen there". As long as that is the case - and it will be as long as Danny Boy and any future onwer invites "A-List celebs and politicos" to be in the owners' box, the Skins will be a hot ticket. Hell, if the fans in this town were ready to mutiny, they would have already done it after about 15 years with one playoff appearance and a boatload of losing seasons. For a full description of the "Pass It On" program, go to the Boston Globe website. They spell it out pretty thoroughly.

But the celebs and high society are taking over the sports stadiums and arenas across the country........a lot of corporations get all the good seats leaving the TRUE FAN to sit in the nose bleed sections. The Spurs are one of the few exceptions, the season ticketholders are the REAL FANS and the corporations are in the minority.....although the floor and a few courtside seats are for the influential and corporate folks.....it's mostly real people who fill up the arena........
