I am guessing we'd be interested in Hamilton from Denver as he can play guard and center and is only 27. Seems like a good fit for us. Looks like Smoot actually does have some competition so maybe that'll drive his price down a bit. |

player off this list I'd like to see in the burgundy and gold.
Rod Smart (drop Morton contract) Mike Alstot Plaxicco or Porter or Givens Jermaine Wiggins Mayberry or Hamilton Casey Rabach Abraham or Howard Pat Williams (hopefully cheap to be back with greg) Woodson Law ( I know it won't happen) Now I'm not saying all of these guys but I would love to see a few.

I will resist the urge to call you a bad name for suggesting we get Alstott...
Alstott is worthless. He is not a good running back by any stretch of the imagination and is a better RB than blocking back. He is total hype and really always has been. Plus it's about time for him to miss 12-14 games becasue of his "minor" neck problem. A "minor" neck problem for a fullback is like a "minor" foot injury to Kenya marathoner. |

I would like to see alstott in as a Goal line back only. He would only see playing time in the red zone not as a fullback but as a running back because he's big and doesn't go down on the first hit. If he's so garbage, he should be cheap I just trying to find a solution to our redzone woes.

We really don't need a goal line back I don't think...Portis is a top three back in the NFL. I mean for crisskaes he had 1300 yards on a team that couldn't do anything on offense. He is our goal line back. He is our everything back.

Burress has been a #2 all his life, not sure if that's what we need. I think we're looking for a #1 receiver. Everyone loves Coles, but he has lost a step and doesn't exactly get the seperation he used to. I like him as a receiver, but he's an expensive #2. If I could have any receiver I'd go Chad Johnson I think, young, talented, hard working!

I don't believe we need to go for a home run hitter in the free agent market. New England shows, as the Redskins defense did, and the original Gibbs teams overall, that you win best with team first players and not just signing stars. This isn't fantasy football. You have to think about the whole of the team and how it works together, not just look at 40 times and various statistics which may be misleading. |

Hey guys most of you are right, but assure that we don't loose 14-16 games by 7 points or less, we need to sign Burress, at 6-5, he can out leap any DB, and we need to draft Eramus James, for Wisconson, he's the best pass rusher in the Draft, sign and trade Smoot, Garner, and Betts for a low 1st Round Pick, that will give us 2 picks in the draft, I mean, Pitts need a corner, the way they got burned.., but sign 1 veteran CB like, Ty Law, don't worry he will be a free agent, I have a instinct on these things..

I don't think Burress will sign with us to become a #2 WR. Coles and Burress' egos may clash if we get Burress to make him a #1...and vice versa.

Why do people on here insist on signing a vetern CB, when they will want either the same amount or more than Smoot already does? The reason why Smoot may not be back next year is because he wants too much money. I would rather keep Smoot than sign Law, Woodson, Surtan or any other vetern CB, they will want want atleast what Smoot wants and then some. I think that Smoot will be back with us next year after he sees that other teams wont pay him what the redskins are offering.
