No "Wardrobe Malfunction" this year
I feel so much better this year already. Anyone else?

Yeah if Paul McCartney's pants fell down I don't think it would have gotten as much publicity as Janet Jackson's "mishap!"

I don't know... It sure wasn't an MTV hip hop extravaganza... but who needs that again? Paul McCartney is a class act and I thought he put on a great show.
I did think that Charlie Daniels on the same stage with the Black-Eyed Peas was a little weird during the pre-game though. |

Charlie was fiddle-syncing!
lol The show rocked and if I had paid money to sit there in the Super Bowl and got to see a Beatle rock a few good old tunes in a visually cool way I would have been happy and toe tapping. peace Oh course a nip slip from Alicia Keys would have been cool too. lol Anyone think a sign language tribute to a blind guy was weird?

MTV should revive Beavis and Butthead "Buttbowl" halftime show (you had to flip the channel to watch it). Wonder if anyone will start showing alternative halftime shows on their network again. Paul McCartney is about as exciting as it will get for SB halftime shows over the next few years. I like his music and all, but I was falling asleep and my beer buzz was killed by the start of the 3rd qtr.

What did McCartney sing? I missed it, I can't remember the last time I saw a halftime.

It was horrible. The wardrobe malfunction was blown out of proportion, 90% of America wouldn't have known about it if they didnt make such a big deal of a far, far away shot of a tit (of which you couldn't even see.)
The half time show sucked, will smith sucked, the whole production sucked. So it was just like the norm for the super bowl. |

Not that it's a bid deal. We know he sang the songs at one point, and in such a big venue and event like that, with a limited amount of time, it's not uncommon to lip-sync

U2 refused to lip-synch a couple years back, and in my opinion, that was the best SB halftime show in years, if not ever.
Yeah, many of them just record it ahead of time to avoid any sound issues, since they have a very short window to get everything set-up and all, so it is a real live performance, not just "lip-synching to the record". But I believe that if your gonna play live, play live! |
