Re: Happy St. Patrick's Day
Nice idea.
About to head to a bar for some delightful green Bud Light and get hammered with the students who take said bar over on St. Patrick's Day (but hey, it's the only place we can get green beer).

Re: Happy St. Patrick's Day
Wife and I said screw it tonight, I told her about Matty's idea and she was like, "Why don't we just stay home?" Nice call, enjoyed some beers on the back porch and listened to some music. Low key evening, niiiiiiiiiiiice.

Re: Happy St. Patrick's Day
Got hammered in Adams Morgan. I was having flashbacks of hanging out there when I was fresh out of college, it made me feel old but it was a lot of fun.

Re: Happy St. Patrick's Day
Me and the wife and a few of my buddies went to Ri Ra Irish Pub in Bethesda. Slugged 5 Guiness, had a few Jameson, listened to some nuts in kilts playing bagpipes in the street, then took a cab home.
Got up this morning and sopped up the alcohol with a killer brunch, on the couch now watching the NCAA tourney. Life is good.

Re: Happy St. Patrick's Day
We went all out this year.
Wife and I got a hotel in Grand Rapids and we went to five bars including two breweries. Inside Founders, pretty busy for 2:00 PM. The most amazing milk stout I ever had. Frankenmuth Ale and Jamesons, the wife had the green Miller Lite. Some people went all out.

Re: Happy St. Patrick's Day
I had a great St. Pats Day. I was wrapping the trim on our house so I was climbing up and down a ladder all day. Pretty much worked on the trim from sun up to sun down Sat and Sunday. Glad to come to work to get some rest. When I was younger it did not bother me to pound beers while working with power tools and climbing on ladders. At my age it does not seem like a good idea any more.

Re: Happy St. Patrick's Day
Was the designated driver saturday nite for St. Pattys day for a couple friends. Went to wings spot where my friend's wife bartends and got hooked up with free food while watching the VCU game and the st patty's day crowd. Good lord its was rookieville in that spot. I cant believe people bring their young kids to that spot around such drunk idiots. Had 1 pint of guiness and drove my very drunk friends home. it was a different experience, sober st pattys, but a good one
