I used to do at my place all the time when I was younger (just kept backing up and hurling it), but that scenario didn't involve nearly as much pressure as what he was under.

I was in junior high, playing in a summer rec. league game, with time running out in the half I made a ridiculous, over my shoulder, falling out of bounds, no look half-court 3-point shot....into the wrong basket! All I was trying to do was keep the ball in bounds. We ended up losing by 2 points.

I played soccer one season when I was in high school. I normally only played football and for some reason, I wanted to play a spring sport and I thought that soccer was the way to go. Nothing against soccer players, I love the game, but the soccer players in our district were the biggest bunch of tree-hugging pansies to ever play a sport. I'm not saying I was a huge guy, but I was bigger and stronger than most of them. Granted, they were all MUCH more talented than me, which was why I was goalie.

Anyway, the whole begins when my friend (who played stopper) and I had a game against the state champs, Blacksburg. They had this one guy who looked like Satan, crazy beard and everything. The guy straight up grabs my friend by his wang and then the punches just starting coming. My friend Mark, who probably has the worst temper of anyone I've ever seen, proceeded to punch the REF in the face and then throw the Satan-kid down and kick the ever-loving shit out of him. The benches clear and in the end, there were 3 broken jaws and Mark ruptured the testacles of the Satan-kid.

Needless to say Mark and I were kicked off the team and proceeded to play baseball the rest of our high school careers.

I'm surprised VHSL ever let the participants in that play sports again. There was a school near by that had a bench clearing brawl during a baseball game. Their varsity baseball team (not just the players, but the entire program) was barred for several years from competition.

Whoaaa!! You should read sometime about Rockbridge County High School sporting. Our lacrosse team had MANY bench clearing brawls with Salem. THAT is a notorious rivalry.

Damn! Thats awsome. Although I dont know how much pressure he was under shooting it, I mean no one in their right mind would have thought he would made it so It was kinda just like a heave ho, ya know? Crazy though.
