Drafting at 6? A trade with Cincy makes sense

I just can not see it happening. We either trade up to get a QB which could happen or someone like cincy who would love to get Blackmon, Kikrpatrick, Richardson or claiborne would trade up to us.

Last year Allen and Shanny showed a willingness to wheel and deal.

We have a couple big holes like interior oline which gets drafted in the later half of the first round, and wr and cb which this draft has alot of first round talent in, that we could trade back with cincy's two first round picks b/c Shanny falls for a guy or two a little further down the list seems possible.

For Cincy they could get a stud wr or rb to take pressure off Green and help Dalton grow and help them go deeper in the playoffs. Or you instantly have one of the best cb tandums with Leon Hall and whichever cb to help stop bolden and smith as well as wallace and brown.

That's why going the free agent route for a QB is so appealing. Let's just assume Mat Flynn is the real deal. You got a guy with 4 years of being a full time NFL understudy who can step right in and play at a high level from day 1. Any rookie QB is going to need time to develop, even RGIII.

If the Skins were able to get a Dwayne Bowe or Colston in free agency, even better. Trading the 6th pick now gives them 3 picks in the first 2 rounds that they SHOULD be able to turn into instant starters. They can still take someone like Foles or Cousins in the second round and maybe hit on 2 QBs in the same year. Stud WRs can be found anywhere.

They should be able to make some dramatic improvements with 9 picks and free agency. With Richardson, Cincy has a nice triumvirate with Green and Dalton.

Since RG3 and Barkley are staying going after Mat Flynn is the only logical option. He is the real deal. I say give him a bundle of money, draft moore in the 3rd round and keep our top draft pick.

Re: Drafting at 6? A trade with Cincy makes sense

Why would Cincy want Blackmon when they just drafted AJ Green with their top pick last year? Cincy isn't moving up. Well, not to anybody in the top 10's spot anyway. Doesn't make sense for them to, and it would cost them too much. They have their 1st round pick and Oakland's. That's two quality people (starters) for their football team.

Cincy is going to trade up for a CB, Kirkpatrick could be had outside the top ten. Blackmon will Not be there. The only thing I see is Richardson, whom could be had probably around 7-10. So Cincy can just trade with someone around that range. They aren't going to go up to 6 when they can trade with 7-10 range first round picks..

Too early to tell. April come now.

Gotta like your 2012 NFL Mock Draft Database link! Greatest Mock Draft link anywhere, anywhere! You can always count on the mocks to give you all the potential draftee names to compare with how it all falls out on NFL Draft day. It's pretty much garanteed one of those names will land with a team on Draft day. The WHO and WHERE part is the only question.

Yeah, only problem is that some of the mocks aren't updated (Matt Barkley going to us at 6) and last year only 3 of the 150+ mocks had us getting Kerrigan, and I think that some of them said that after the draft...

Atlanta did it last year. No one saw that coming.

It's hard to stop two good wr. If they really believe in dalton and they certainly seems to why not give him the best wr combo in the league.

.RG3 has declared and Matt Flynn is the "real deal" with 130 career pass attempts? I just can't justify that or call it logical to give him a bundle of money. There are plenty of other options later in the draft plus bradford/clausen/mccoy..plenty of other logical options out there.

I tend to agree. Perhaps with the rookie cap they will change their style. But likely not.

With Mike Brown running the show, anything can be expected.
