Yes it does need to end. Now don't get me wrong Arrington is one of my fav players. Damn he makes a ton of money and he's being greedy over it. But this might be bad for the skins. if he doesnt get his way. He might want to depart from the team then and that would suck. BIG TIME

You could very well be right. But if you love the game and you are already getting paid a ton then why fight it.

Do you think his decision not to drop it, as he had indicated he would a month or so ago, has anything to do with his name being linked to Moss in trade rumors?

God forbid we have anything to say negative about Lavar in this. More bullshit. Get an arbitrator to show him his signature on the bottom of the contract, manually turn him around, and kick his whining ass out the door. Hey LaVar, you're the highest paid LB in football, why don't you put a box of Kleenex in every room of your 53 room mansion, they'll help soak up those tears.

I'm going to share in Maddox's solution for everything. It's a very special shampoo called "No More Tears"

I don't think you can blame LaVar for taking this to an arbitrator. First of all, it's $6.5 million. I don't care who you are, that's a shitload of money. And in reference to his huge contract, everyone in this forum knows he will never see 2/3 of that $68 million (unless he restructures in a few years.) It would be unrealistic for the Skins to cope with such a huge cap number from him, especially when the defense can make it to #3 without him. Additionally, should the need to trade Arrington ever arise, there will always be teams willing to part with high draft choices and key veterans in order to obtain one of the greatest defensive talents in the league. Bottom line is, if you think someone shafted you for $6.5 million, you don't just look the other way. You bust your ass to get that money back.

If I where the skin's I would aproach Lavar about squashing that contract and allowing him to seek a better deal elsewhere, I would love for an arbitrator to rule that the contract is null and void and see Lavar's face when he can't sniff a contract like the one he has now, the guy didn't play this year he is by far the most overated player in football and he's crying about money he doesn't have coming, LAVAR IS NOTHING MORE THAN MEDIA HYPE!

I get the fealing this is more of a Potson move. Things he has said before have been more off the cuff where as taking this to arbitration with such a weak case is bizzare.
I also cannot see him getting upset about Moss trade rumours as these seem totally made up from thin air by sports writters with nothing better to do and totally out of proportion with our needs . Last year Owens was on the block and we didn't make a sniff towards him, now we are apparently willing to give up three or more impact players to get Moss someone who is so far from being a Gibbs player its untrue and really who here thinks we are one WR from the superbowl . The trade proposals mentioning LaVar just seem crazy and stem from the media's disrespect of our front office. What is more likley if anything we may be dangling Gardener and our no.1 pick. |
