Updated Title: Redskins Add DT Balmer/WR Anderson; Cut Stallworth/Scott

Redskins add WR David Anderson - The Insider - The Washington Post

My question is: who is this guy?

Apparently, he played for Kyle Shanahan in Houston for the Texans a few years back. So, he's a veteran WR who knows the offense. More than likely he's the Wes Welker type. Just what the Redskins need. He's still young too. Only 28 years of age.

So because he's worked with Kyle, he should have an idea of the offensive playbook, right?

More than likely Anderson should know it better than some of the Redskins receivers who have been in the offense long enough to know it. So, it looks like his signing is a moral upgrade. He's not Andre Johnson, but at least he's someone who knows where he's supposed to be. Just a competent presence on the field with the offense. More than likely, a Wes Welker type.

Dude your Sig Rocks!!! Ah the famed Collins to Yoder combination still brings a tear to my eye, as does this season.

They might as well have signed Dave Mathews, he would have brought more to the table.

Real question is who is getting cut. Obviously there is a problem at the WR spot if they are bringing in yet another WR.

My guess as well. Armstrong or Austin would be surprise cuts, but I could see either one gone.
