Bucket's Breakdown Week 2
Standout Skins
Ryan Kerrigan - When you have 2 sacks, and 2 tipped balls in crucial situations, then you are going to continue to standout, and for a player who is suppose to be young and transitioning to his new scheme. He seems to be doing better then most rookies I see on the field. 3 Tackles, 2 TFL, and 1.5 sacks. Not to mention those big two pass deflections again. Santana Moss - It just seems when the Redskins need a big play, that Moss is there. You never see this guy grind up defenses for 180 yard performances like Austin, or Jackson today, but he really is clutch. Rex's go to guy when he needs out of a jam, and it's been working. 5 catches for 61 yards/1 TD. London Fletcher - His motor is on full throttle and doesn't seem to be slowing down at all. He'll be well over 40 before I see this guy getting off the field, and even then... We need to bring him in to the coaching staff or something! His interception was clutch, and one of the biggest plays of the game. 5 Tackles, 1 INT, 1 Pass Deflection, and a whole lot of pressure on Kolb today. Fred Davis - The only Vinny star left on the roster really. He's been catching passes and getting huge gains after the catch. He's well on his way to a pro bowl type year, and a big contract if he keeps up the great performance. Cooley has been the man here for a while, and now that we have 2 official TE's for our 2 TE sets.. We will win a lot of games because of teams that just can't match up with us. 6 catches for 86 yards/1 TD Solid Skins Rocky McIntosh - I've had a lot of bad things to say about Rocky over the season, but today he stepped up. He lead the team in tackles, and made a lot of solo tackles and hole stuffing plays. His delay blitz helped him pick up the sack, and he seems to be picking up the scheme very well now with that full year under his belt. Hopefully he can keep improving and stick around for us. 8 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 sack, and a pass deflection Tim Hightower - Guy hits holes, and runs hard. I haven't seen him break a lot of tackles, but he does have good vision, and always falls forward. His pass protection and ability to catch the football has been essential for us in these smash mouth type games. I'm glad we finally found a great starter at the RB position that has durability. 20 carries for 96 yards. 4.8 AVG. 1 REC/10 Yards What Stood Out Penalties- "or lack there of". We have been incredible in not having many penalties. When you dont give yourself a long field, and make mistakes that cost you points, or yards then you put yourself in great position to win football games. A lot of smart coaches say that the game of football is about mistakes, and usually the team that has less wins. If this is true, then we should be in store for a great season if this keeps up. 3 Penalties for 15 yards. Note: We took an intentional penalty at the end of the game for Delay of Game. Roy Helu - Did anyone else watch this guy when he got the ball, and just couldn't believe the quickness and vision he has? Talk about a hidden gem. Now, it could be more of the run scheme in Washington now, but man can that guy make people miss. He reminds me of a bigger McCoy. I'm looking forward to seeing more of him, and wouldn't be srprised if he's our starter later in the year. 10 carries for 74 yards/7.4 AVG. 3 REC/38 Yards Game Ball Sav Rocca - Last week he might of been overlooked, and with all the scrutiny that Gano faces. Rocca has been rock solid for us. His old style rugby play gets me fired up, and his kicks have been nothing less then perfect so far this year. That tackle on the last play of the game was beautiful. 2 punts inside the 20 2-0 HTTR! We want Dallas!

Re: Bucket's Breakdown Week 2
No offense, Bucket, but don't we already have two threads (Studs/Smack) which essentially cover the same ground?

Re: Bucket's Breakdown Week 2
It's fine. There is a what went wrong thread, a what went right thread, a film review thread and Bucket's summary thread.
It's better and cleaner than the site used to be with dozens of crap threads within 24 hours after a win or especially a loss Maybe we can think of something unique for Bucket?

What Stood Out
Penalties- "or lack there of". We have been incredible in not having many penalties. A lot of smart coaches say that the game of football is about mistakes, and usually the team that has less wins. If this is true, then we should be in store for a great season if this keeps up. On the contrary, Arizona committed 10 penalties for 97 yds. which greatly enhanced our cause.

But this means that I will feel free to start my "Cut Orakpo Now!," "Kyle is a cross-dresser," and "Haslett is Jimmy Hoffa in disguise" threads.

Re: Bucket's Breakdown Week 2
No offense taken. I just do these for fun while i'm at work, and like to share my insight for being a die hard Redskin Fan. I would enjoy contributing to the Warpath in a different way if the staff had a more elaborate idea

Ignore this old geezer, the format looks nice. Looks better than using a few dozen periods per sentence.
