Mad props to Cam Newton

I figured an NFL record 400 yards passing in his NFL debut was worth it's on thread. I'll say I was one to call him a total bust but now I think this dude could be for real. Yes it's only one game but that's a damn good sign for panthers fans.

He broke Peyton Mannings rookie debut passing record.
He also broke Matt Staffords rookie year any game passing record.
Huge day for him.
I'm sorry he didnt win.

Yeah they came very close to winning that game. I don't know how good the Cards defense is though, but still it is a very impressive performance for a rook starting on day one.

Due if Cam does that to the Card what will our offense do next week?

I hope Hightower runs for 200 against his old team

I don't think the Cards defense is that great and they got rid of a good defensive player (Rodgers-Cro) in the offseason. I hope we are successful againsg their D and that our defense shuts down L. Fitz.

What a way to silence your detractors. I've never seen a QB more criticized coming out of college than Cam Newton. I guess dominating the SEC, winning the Heisman and National Championship wasn't enough for some people.

Tebow got it real rough too.

Yeah, that guy was so hyped up before the draft, you couldn't help but almost wish he was a dud, but damn what a turn around from a horrid preseason. If this keeps up most of us in here will eat crow. I say that because it is one game against the Cards. I think Cam had way more critics in here than sympathizers. It is too bad he is on such a bad team, but in a few seasons with him there, they can turn it around.

LOL, I was about to just post the below before I caught this.

I'm a official Cam Newton Hatter, and have since day 1. Guy had a hell of a day today against the cards, but let me know when he plays a real defense. Regardless of the shitty defense, he still put up 400 yards against another NFL team as a rookie. That's ****ing impressive no matter who you are. Kudos to the rook. Hope he proves me wrong and I"ll gladly eat that full setting of crow.

I'm not going to eat the full crow yet since it's only one game, but I'll have a crow wing with BBQ sauce please.
