Barter - Autographed Skins Memorabilia for Pinball Machine

OK, I just finished a nice big man cave and am in the process of setting the place up. If I spend anymore cash on it, my wife might just divorce me.

I already have a 1969 Jukebox and I thought it would be cool to get a couple of working pinball machines to add to the collection. If anyone has one and wants to trade for some autographed skins jerseys, let me know. I obviously have a LARGE selection so it could be a win - win type of deal.

I have an old Windows CD-ROM of 3D pinball...I'll take an Art Monk for it.

I have a pinball machine that my grandmother purchased at an auction after drinking a few glasses of wine to many.

I realize (or hope) this post is a joke, but I will take the opportunity to warn people about Art Monk "autographed" jerseys. As a rule, Art will not sign jerseys and if you see one for sale, it is a safe bet to be counterfeit.

I have seen him sign a jersey for an individual fan not at a show, but then he insisted on personalizing the jersey to the individual.

That's not totally true.. My dad and me went to go see him one time and he signed a jersey and a helmet for me and made no big fuss about personalizing it for me. Not that I would have minded personalizing it since I'm never getting rid of it. Your right though he is strict about signing stuff however I just had that one example of him signing some stuff that wasn't personal.

I should be able to comment on what Art would and would not sign but personally the only thing I remember him signing at his camp was footballs, not that he would or would not sign jerseys but we all got footballs and thats the only thing I remember him being asked to sign by myself and other campers.

You would think he would be bothered a lot by kids, since virtually all of us there were Skin fans to some extent, but most of the time he just walked around the campus keeping to himself. Occasionally someone would go up to him (myself included) ask him to sign, say thank you, 'you're welcome,' then just walk away. I can say I don't remember seeing or hearing about him turning down an autograph request.

On a side note it would appear that the camp has now been given to Orakpo.

OK, but if you see a normal sports memorabilia dealer who keeps selling them on eBay, you know something is wrong. There is an exception to every rule - but they are called exceptions for a reason.

I once did a signing with Charles Mann (his business partner) and we talked about Art. He wanted me to set something up with him, but even Charles said that Art would not sign jerseys/numbers. You also see it on the websites for the rare shows he does.

Thanks... now you've got me worried about the autographed mini-helmet signed by Art Monk that my friend bought for me off ebay. Said he got a really good deal for it. Came with a certificate and everything saying it was authentic.

p.s. I'll keep an eye out for a pinball machine

Art signs helmets, photos etc at shows on the rare times he does them. It is something about jerseys that he won't sign as a rule.

You are welcome to email me if you wish to discuss your helmet in more detail.

Update: I was able to work a deal for a slot machine and pachinko (sp?) machine. I almost had a deal for a driving arcade game, but the guy was a Giants fan and I didn't have enough variety of product for that team.

Still looking for a couple arcade style games for the mancave.

Leader in sports - you seem to know alot about memorabilia. I have a neon light redskins bud light bar sign that doesnt light up anymore. Any suggestions? If its not a cheap fix ill give it to you or anyone if they want it.

That would be a question for an electrician or something along those lines.

I assume you are asking about Sean Taylor. I try to stay away from current players whenever possible. (he was current during all of his signings). The only ones I have are Fred Davis and Mike Sellers. Both of those guys did add the "Dallas Sucks" inscriptions on the jerseys.

I do have Mike Nelms and Earnest Byner jerseys. Both of these guys wore #21 and are 70 Greatest Redskins.

If you want to talk more details, can you pm me more about your machine?
