Skins Probowlers

www.redskins.com

Marcus Washington is the only guy representing the Redskins. I love Marcus Washington, and its deserved. But how in the HELL is Griffin not in there. I could make argumetns for Smoot/Springs, but you can make valid arguments as to why they are not in there. BUT HOW THE HELL IS Griffin not in there!?!? Would anyone like to attempt to explain this to me?

Alternates include Portis(1st alternate), S. Taylor (1st).

Smoot, Peirce and Tupa, All second alternates

Shawn Springs is a third alternate

.... and wait for it......
CORNEULIS GRIFFEN IS A FOURTH ALTERNATE!!!!!!!!!!!

I really don't know how Griffin is just a 4th alternate.

I'm not sure of the stats but is there a DT in the league with more tackles?? Plus he's got 5 sacks.

I think it's good. Wouldn't these guys get more money if they get sent to the probowl? I think I remember specifically hearing Taylor had incentives in regard to that. Wouldn't it hurt us financially if all these guys went to the probowl?

I just don't understand how Trotter made it, and Pierce didn't. Freaking BS.

There is no question, or players got Snubbed. Why? Probably because we aren't getting the buzz in the media.

I try not to get to worked up over this pro bowl stuff. Pro Bowl balloting is a popularity contest mostly and secondly a reward for winning teams. If the Redskins had a winning record most of those guys mentioned would be probowlers. Trotter made the Pro Bowl for the Eagles and he has only been starting a few weeks. And it's mostly becasue they are 13-1.

And a lot of times guys make it a year after they should have becasue word gets around the league that they got hosed. I bet a lot of these Redskins make it next year even if they don't play as well.

Trotter over Pierce his stats are no where near those of Pierce. The only good news from Pierce not getting in is that he is a free agent this year and his value and intrest from other teams would of increased.

Pathetic. Griffen is an absolute snub. Well, that's what you get if you're 5-9.

Look on the bright side, though. Now these guys will have an even BIGGER chip on their shoulder, for the remainder of this season and next year. The more we get overlooked and undersetimated, the better, I say. Don't get mad, get even. Kick some ass on the football field.

That is what I was asking earlier. Does anybody know what it would cost if all these players made the probowl? I think it wouldn't help us at all. Not only would we have to pay any contract filled incentives, but as you mention, these players agents would be asking for a lot more money. Right?

How the hell does Tupa not get in he is having a career year. Springs and Griffin are having great rivials, hell Springs was being bounced to third CB in Seatle.

Forget the fact we are 5-9 half the NFC are 5-9 that is no excuse. It is all on name recognition which sucks for the players who play thier hearts out and get no reward.
