Pro Bowl announced tonight
With the #2 D in the league I'm hoping we get some respect on that side of the ball at least. Here's what I'll be looking for:
Possible starters: Griffin, Smoot and/or Springs, Tupa Possible backups/alternates: Portis, Taylor, Pierce, Thomas, Coles What do you guys think? |

Unfortunately, I think even though we've been the #2 defense all year, we won't get any respect (sorry to be a pessimist) Maybe Griffin will get a shot.....maybe
Tupa certainly deserves to go on special teams................ With the NFC so weak overall.......I think it will be dominated by the teams with the best record...even though this is supposed to be for individual efforts.....so you will see lots of eagles and falcons.... unless the coaches we've played give us some respect....BUT I'd really like to see those guys in Hawaii Matty.............sorry to be a scrooge......... |

I think Griffin is a lock. I don't know about Springs/Smoot though.

Me and my cowgirls friend made a bet in which I ate up right away. He bet me that Terrance Newman of Dallas would make the Pro Bowl before Freddy Smoot. I laughed so hard. Looking at the NFC cornerbacks there is only one that I can name right away and that is Lito Shepperd of Philly. As for the rest who knows, Smoot definetly has a chance, people have finally been able to see what this man can do after getting out of Champs shadow.

Just checked Phill's site. They got 9 pro bowlers. Jerimiah Trotter made the Pro Bowl that is unbelieveable. If he made it Pierce better get some love.

If Trotter made the probowl, and Perice didnt, its a travisty. Thats all I'll say until I see the entire roster.

Looks like only Washington made it. Everyone else is an alternate.

I thought Griffin was a lock. And I just don't see how Trotter gets voted in over Pierce. Well I can see it actually...this is where popularity and name recognition comes in
Hopefully, the Skins will use this as motivation and take it out on Sunday against Dallas

This is terrible....I have never seen a team get blown by the league so much. T.O. is out for the season and 15 minutes of sportscenter everyday is dedicated to T.O.'s status. It's ok he could be back for the super bowl but no one is saying they won't make it there. Well now they can rely on their stellar defense that has 5 pro bowlers. I don;t care what their record is look at the stats.......Trotter- 66 tackles 1 sack 1 pass defended ,but Pierce- 97 tackles 1 sack 2ints 1td 3 defended passes doesn't make the pro bowl on the second ranked d in the league? It just pisses me off to no end that people like Grif, Smoot, Portis, and ST get no love but the eagles get players like Ike Reese, Michael Lewis, Trotter, and Shepard make the team. I would rather see a good player like Westbrook make the pro bowl, then see a bunch of scrubs make the team just because they are Eagles. NEXT YEAR: Arrington, Portis, Taylor, Smoot (will be back), Washington, Griffin, Thomas, and our first overall pick Erasmus James (well at least I can hope) will be pro-bowlers but they will skip it because they will be tired from the super bowl!!!!

Trotter over Pierce? C'mon now Trotter hasn't even started the entire year.
Pierce is the better all-around MLB without a doubt. |

Fortunately, the knowledgable football fan(like most on this board) realizes that the probowl means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! Yes, it IS a popularity contest for the most part. I hope this sets a fire under Portis more than anyone, and he can go over 150 against Dallas. Dallas should be the only thing on any of our minds. F**K the Probowl.

trotter wasnt even their starter for most of the yera, he got subbed in half way through. He should have his spot taken away. Im nto even saying give it to pierce, just give it to someonethat deserves it.
