Game Tape: Laron Landry

I know I've been posting a lot of these lately but if you only watch one, watch Laron Landry. He is easily the most exciting player on this team and possibly the most exciting in the NFC East with the exception of Vick. Haslet allowing him to freelance was a feat of pure genius.

Update: Packers game for Laron is now available here. Colts game can be found here.

View OJ Atogwe here.

See DeAngelo Hall vs the Packers here. As well as the Week 17 Giants game which can be found here.. Y Bears esta aqui.

Not sure if the first play is computer generated though.

Note: Remember this isn't a highlight tape. I tried to get every play where Landry was around the ball. I also thought about putting in spotlights to locate him before every snap but Landry moves around A LOT before the snap. Plus it would have been tedious and time consuming. As I said in the description. Finding him is half the fun. Though I highly recomend going to YouTube to watch this video as I doubt you'll be able to find him with the embedded version of the video.

Next Landry post will be a combo of both Philly games.

He's going to be a FA next year.
They should offer him an extension ASAP.

Re: Game Tape: Laron Landry

I haven't watched the video yet, but I wanted to comment before watching. I think of Laron Laundry as another Roy Williams(the safety, not the WR). Great at playing the line and hitting, sucked horribly at pass defense and coverage. I read a great deal of articles where the defense had to be adjusted to account for that weakness to a point where they just simply cut the guy because he was a one trick pony. I'll watch the video later and comment.

LL has much better range than RW ever did. LL just isn't very instinctive when it comes to coverage but he can make up for it at times with his wheels and closing ability.

Agreed, he is on an upswing now...getting better every season. Before the injury he was a solid candidate for DPOY.

It will be devastating to lose him and even worse to play against him.

Yes, I agree. He had a great playoff game too vs the Seahawks. Out of one game of playoff experience he has 2 INTs.

All the more reason to root against an 18 game season. How the owners can think this is a good idea is beyond me.

I don't think the owners are thinking about players much anymore.. All they see is $$$$ in their head, I would guess.. But of course, what do I know? I am just a college kid who doesn't keep up with politics and all crises with NFL. I just want to watch some football!!

Btw, I really like the videos you put together - not just Landry's but all others too..

I don't know about all the owners but it certainly seems theres enough of them that are more concerned with chasing money then the gameto cause a problem. I mean I understand the desire to make money but why own a sports team if thats your chief concern?

Also thanks for the compliment on the videos. Part of me was worried that they were becoming a nuisance. Maybe I'll get more complaints once I start compiling game tape on the trainers. "And look at how slowly he attends to the injured player."

Re: Game Tape: Laron Landry

Seems like the Green Bay game wasn't Landry's best except for the very last play.. Players were able to catch balls when he's covering them.

Re: Game Tape: Laron Landry

LL is a bit of an enigma to me. No doubt that he's an impact player when in the box. He has range & I hope he will improve in coverage, but to this point he's regressed in that area. I really don't like his celebrating & we saw in the philly monday night game that his talk can backfire.
