Any Audiophiles Out There?
Not claiming to be one, but I just took a big step in that direction. Received my Audeo Phonak PFE 112 Headphones and I cannot believe what I have been missing.
Spent some extra dough, but with the amount of music I listen to it is worth it. Compared to cheap earbuds or headphones, these bring out each individual layer of the track. Each song seems to slow down and most of my favorites sound so much different. What are you all using to achieve audio euphoria?

Matty, those seem very similar to mine.

Re: Any Audiophiles Out There?
Yeah they seem to be along the same lines. It's so worth it to spend a little $$ and upgrade your earphones. Definitely money well spent.

Re: Any Audiophiles Out There?
Agreed.
Based on the reviews I was reading, many pair their headphones with a headphone amplifier. Adds better better and improves sound quality. Any experience with those?

Re: Any Audiophiles Out There?
Bass is a little overrated to me personally. I find that far too many cheaper earphones pump up the bass to cover up the fact that the rest of the sound is shit.

How do they compare to Bose QuietComfort 15?

Re: Any Audiophiles Out There?
Well they are different in that these are IEM the QC15's are outside the ear. I have used the QC 15's and I think they are great, however I need earbuds for work and travel.
I can't speak on behalf of Matty, but my set has great mid-range sound. Extremely clear music and decent bass. It also has customizable filters which change the sound, based on preference.

The "ear bud" style is a no go for me, I have yet to find a pair that stay in my ear. I must have Jenna Jameson ear holes.

Re: Any Audiophiles Out There?
LOL, well a lot of the more expensive IEMs have multiple ear bud tips. You just have to keep trying until you find the right fit.
That's what she said.

Re: Any Audiophiles Out There?
I'm thinking about investing in a quality pair once I have some dough saved up. I've used earbuds since I was in high school and had to sneak a piece in during classes, and I estimate with all the earbuds I've had to buy I've spent in the neighborhood of 2-300 bucks of the 10-20 dollar range earbuds (never bought the more expensive ones) since the cheap ones I buy usually break after a couple months. I kinda figure it'll be worth it since the quality ones usually last a lot longer and also provide better sound, but I've never gotten around to it because I either didn't have enough money or needed a quick cheap pair of earbuds while on the go.

Re: Any Audiophiles Out There?
Which brand of headphones are the best if you don't want ear buds? I'm not a big fan of ear buds simply for the fact that I've lost a lot of hearing over the years listening to my music loudly.

Re: Any Audiophiles Out There?
I wanted a pair of over the ear phones, picked these up and I've been impressed so far. Good value for the money.
