G.Williams...

Now I've been pretty confident that everything is going to work out in our favor, but realistacly, are we going to retain Greg Williams next season. Every time I see the defense play the way they did, I get more and more worried. Thoughts?

The only things I've heard regarding Greg Williams is that he's going nowhere. He even said himself he has no plans of taking a coaching job elsewhere in the next couple of years. He's committed his family to living in the DC area. His daughter is going to school there. And while not confirmed, I've heard rumors to the effect that if he does take a head coaching job in the future, it will be assuming the reigns after Joe Gibbs term is finished.

He's being paid like a head coach here and he's doing what he does best, running a defense.

I'm not real concerned about losing him. He seems committed to staying here for the long haul.

William's would be best served staying around Gibb's it's a great opportunity to learn how to coach offense.

What do people think about him being our next head coach after Gibbs? Thats the idea I'm in favor of right now, is have Gibbs 4/5 years and then Williams take over after. I know he lost in Buffalo, but with the right offensive guy to help, I think he could be successful as well.

Don't think I'm joking guys, but seriously consider Norv Turner as an OC to Williams should take over as head coach. I hated Norv as a head coach, but he's got the brains to call a great offensive game.

LongTime, that's a really good setup... except I'm not sure Norv would come back to work for the Danny.

If you're thinking about an OC for Greg Williams way down the road, how about Joe Theisman.

He knows everything there is to know about football. All you have to do is tune in on any random Sunday night and he'll tell you...

Yes. Every week he enlightens me with the fact that if you dont gain 10 yards after three plays, you punt!

I think he should stay and be our next head coach when Gibbs retires again.

OK Hmmmmm and what coach said on national TV that he'd never play for an owner like 'The Daniel'... oh that's right one of our former head coaches who is now HC at San Diego. Never say never, eh? It could happen....

And that one key in keeping drives alive is converting 3rd downs
