Who Will Be The Redskins 2011 Opening Day Starting QB?
I just felt like starting a new poll
Assume there will be a season in 2011 (even if just an abbreviated one, who do you think will start behind center on opening day? Poll results are public

AFter 1 game sexy rexy would be the safe pick. But speaking of 'picks' he's got 2 more games to throw a no. of them & remind us why the bears & texans don't miss him.

Re: Who Will Be The Redskins 2011 Opening Day Starting QB?
Well I say there will be a season and I think we have 3 options at QB for the start of next season.
1.Rex Grossman 2. Jake Locker 3. Kyle Orton I want to see what Rex does the next 2 games but I think the shanny's really like him and feel that he can lead this offense.. Locker is a good athlete that has been compared to JAY Cutler, Big arm and good size. Orton is the wild card to me, Denver probably won't bring him back next season with Tebow.. I think he could run our system and he's been pretty good for 3 straight seasons now..

It's pretty obvious to me, that the Shanahans have given up on Donovan McNabb. The Redskins have very few draft picks, so its unlikely that a capable college quarterback will be drafted. Sexy Rexy will probably be the starter. Be prepared for a lot of turnovers.

I really hate the way this has played out with McNabb. Frankly, I am rather embarrassed by how the Shanahans have handled it, it is just another blunder this organization seems to continually make.
Rex did well yesterday, but it was one game so I would not get too excited about it.

I wish there was some way to get Matt Schaub here with Kyle again.

I am hoping that it will be a Luck or Locker or Mallet but am thinking it will be someone who is a backup/borderline starter for another team right now.

We can corner the market on 2nd round Dolphin busts!
This what you want or what you think will happen? Or both?

Grossman will be going into year 3 in this offense, I think he can get us by in the short run until a rook is ready. Beck will be back as the #2.

Re: Who Will Be The Redskins 2011 Opening Day Starting QB?
More of a think. I'd be in favor of picking up Henne's remaining contract year for a good price, but if we draft a guy in the first two rounds, I'd prefer to just let him play from day one.

For the poll, I picked Locker with the hopes that we can trade back in the draft to get him and an extra pick or two.

I agree with this but don't look forward to a season with Rex as the starter.

Re: Who Will Be The Redskins 2011 Opening Day Starting QB?
I dont think Rex is signed for next year so if he lights it up during his audition as a Skin he could be a hot free agent. If that happens is Rex someone the Skins would want to get into a bidding war for?

Sorry I should elaborate on what I meant, I was talking about as far as being able to trade back in the draft and pick up Locker. |
