Rex Grossman may start this Sunday

Sorry no link, and I'm posting this from my iPhone (at the gym), but Chris Mortensen reported earlier on SportsCenter that a banged up Mcnabb may get sat for Rexy this weekend. Maybe it's injury related? Maybe they want to see Rex run Kyle's offense before the year is over? Who knows.

Kevin Sheehan and Thom Loverro are discussing it on 980am right now.

Sportscenter.

Don't listen to them when it comes to Redskins reporting.

It's DALLAS WEEK...we better not play Grossman.

In real news, Carlos Rogers should be back.

Chris Mortensen is pretty solid I think.

Well Mortensen was alluding to the possibility of Grossman starting even if McNabb was ok to play. Sort of a combination of McNabb being banged up a bit and needing to see what Rex has.

Mortensen also said it likely wouldn't mean anything long-term as far as McNabb's future here.

Re: Rex Grossman may start this Sunday

Skins are mathematically out of the playoffs for 2010. If McNabb is even mildly hurt, sit him down and play Grossman and/or Beck. I do not believe for even a millisecond that either of them is a better QB week in and week out than McNabb, but the reality here is that NONE OF THE REMAINING GAMES MATTER.

They could start Sonny Jurgensen at QB just for the hell of it and it would not matter...

Don't we know what Rex has already? Put in the tape from his Chicago days and you can see why he's a backup.

I'd rather see DM get the chance to finish out the season.

This isnt a bad move necessarily...all players need evaluated. How would we feel if Rex pulls a Todd Collins and runs the offense effectively? If Rex wins the game and performs well, we might want to wonder about next year, especially if he puts up good numbers...

Excuse me. A 5-8 team is playing a 4-9 team. If there is a player on either team who is someone the team would want to keep around for more than another couple of weeks and if that same player is even marginally injured, that player should sit down for this game.

This "rhetorical playoff game" matters not even a bit.

Rex is so horrible. Hopefully McNabb can play, but he's been hurt all year since the preseason.

Lets just sit everyone then, its over throw in the towel, why even show up we have enough tape on these guys. Redskins vs. Cowboys is the best of the rest of the season. Dmac says he is "100%", he gets hurt he has until next year to worry about it. It not like he has to be back on the field for the real playoffs.

If they think Rex gives us the best chance to win then I am fine with it, but don't use a lost season for the excuse to try out backup QBs.

Don't get your hopes up. Collins had 7 seasons with Saunders' offense, Rex is in year 2 with Kyle S.

Re: Rex Grossman may start this Sunday

Seriously, sit McNabb's ass, he's played like shit. Sexy Rexy is obviously not the answer, but through his performance I think we can evaluate the other members of the offense. If he is able to get something out of this ragtag group of retards, then McNabb is part of the problem.
