Turn out the lights, the party is over!! RIP to Dandy Don, he was entertaining with Howard and Frank, in my opinion the best MNF football cast ever.

Him and Madden are still my favorite commentators. I dont know anything about his playing career, though...but by all accounts he was a warm and friendly, good human being.

Dandy Don was great for the NFL when MNF was taking off. I agree that Cosell, Gifford, and Meredith were the greatest MNF broadcast team ever.

RIP Don Meredith.

He was an excellent QB at SMU and for the Dallas Cowboys. He was even better as a color commentator in the MNF booth.
