Oh Bunch Formation, Where art Thou!
I know that it is his first year back, and the offense has been relatively basic. But where is our Bunch formation, it was an absolute terror before, but now we do not even use it. Oh, how I can't wait till next year. :headbange

yes... it was used a few weeks backed and led to at least one illegal formation penalty and at leats one delay of game penalty.

In the 91' season Gibbs implemented an offense that would shift around several times before snapping the ball and it gave defenses fits. Of course with the refs calling so many illegal formation penalities and the reduction of the game clock, I'm not sure if Gibbs has enough time to do that. One thing I do miss that helped us in short yardage was the heavy jumble packages, but with all the injuries and shifting around that the offensive line has faced, I'm sure the number one priority is getting a healthy starting core back.

Our offense is pitiful right now. We run like two plays a game. Then when we are losing Gibbs calls a trick play or two on a final drive or the game.
Anyone notice how well Ramsey did when we put three or four receivers in the game? Until we get a passing threat dont expect a high YPC avg for portis.

Why don't we ever go 4 receivers, and run Portis? I'd think spreading them out that much would help him get into the open field.

Other teams use a lot of motion-shifts with enough time and not called for illegal formation. I think our offense isn't just used to it yet. Once our offense is in sync with one another and become more familiar with Gibbs' offense, we should be ok (hopefully). I wouldn't mind getting an offensive coordinator either.

Our bunch formation this year is 10 guys around the QB trying not to let him get sacked!
