Shanahan Dodging the Heat

Is it just me, or did Shanahan ducking out of the post-game presser piss you off too? There are so many questions that I wanted to hear his response. At the top of my list -
Why was Portis pulled from the lineup despite running well?
What other questions would you have liked Shanny to man up and answer?

Do you want to hire Wade Phillips as defensive coordinator so we can use Albert the NT the right way?

Does it really make sense to try and hire a guy who's the head coach of your rival to coach your defense? He's not even fired yet, and I'd wager he probably won't be gone after this season if he can still get the Cowboys to the playoffs.

And honestly I don't care if he came and said he's not answering any questions and left. He's got bigger things to worry about.

I am perfectly happy with Wade coaching Dallas.

He did, but the one aired on CSN literally lasted all of 5 minutes.

I could really care less about what he has to say after a game. Talk is cheap. He was probably ticked just like the rest of us and didn't want to suffer through 20 minutes of retarded media questions.

He was probably excited that he got a chance to yell at the team. Nothing makes Shanahan happier then a good ass ripping.

Re: Shanahan Dodging the Heat

Why didn't you trade Portis during the off-season? Do you regret not cutting Haynesworth before he had a chance to run off with 21M?

Yeah i'm seriously hoping that he now realizes that Portis is D-O-N-E as a feature back. They have the right role for him, keep him in on 3rd down and in passing situations. It shouldn't be a question if he is an every down runner, because he isnt.

What pissed Shanahan off with Portis, and I guarantee you why he was pulled, was when he broke that run and voluntarily slid down like he always used to do, instead of trying to fight for more yards.

You will see more of Ryan Torain, and perhaps LJ could even be brought back as #2.

Re: Shanahan Dodging the Heat

I was surprised CP wasn't used more in the 2nd half. 7 carries for the game? Unless he was hurt (which according to him he was fine) that's a real head scratcher. As for the play where he went down I thought the replay showed that he slipped when trying to make a cut.
