Jones jabs at Snyder

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/wire?...nfl&id=1757156

From the AP wire:

Quote:
It's not like Jerry Jones to sit quietly while others are making headlines, especially when the newsmakers are division rivals.

Yet Jones said Thursday the slow, steady pace the Dallas Cowboys have taken in free agency is exactly what they wanted.

"The plan was for it to come to us," Jones said after announcing his first big move, the signing of defensive end Marcellus Wiley to a $16 million, four-year deal that includes a $4.5 million bonus. "We kind of felt there were some real high numbers out there that didn't make sense to us."

Asked about the big bucks spent by Washington owner Daniel Snyder, Jones smiled wide and said, "I've been watching them do it for the last several years."

joecrisp:

If Danny Boy and JJ get into a spitting match about flashy free agent signings, that would be about as stupid as an argument between Beavis and Butthead over which one was dumber.

Eh, screw Jerry. At least Dan doesn't roam around on the sidelines during a game.

Jerry does have 3 rings to Snyder's 0, so like it or not he has the right to poke at Danny if he wants to. The two of them are friends anyway, so I wouldn't make too much of this.

At least Dan can say he looks like a relatively normal human being. Jerry Jones is a plastic surgery disaster ... dude looks like a cross between Fran Tarkenton and Tammy Fay Baker.

I agree with Matty that Jerry has a better hand over Snyder, but the fact he owns cowboyz just ridicules me.

To look from a bright side, the only excuse I can think for Jones to own 3 super bowl rings is that he has been an owner of a franchise for a longer period in a comparison to Snyder. Hopefully by the time Snyder reaches Jones age, Snyder will own more than 3 rings (this is very optimistic). haha

Exactly, Portis. Snyder has owned the skins how long? 5-6 years? As opposed to JJ's 20? Give the man some time, jesus.

We'll see if Jerry make's any jabs when the games start!

It's one thing for me and other 'Skins fans to criticize Snyder. It's a very different thing when someone who doesn't root for the 'Skins criticizes Snyder. No one talks about my a-hole and gets away with it.

I hate Jones, I hate the Boys, I hate blue (except in the US flag), I hate silver, I hate stars (except in the US flag), I hate Dallas, I hate Texas, I hate cowboy boots, I hate cowboy hats, I hate anything that remotely reminds me of the Cowboys. I don't care now if we go 2-14, as long as we destroy those boys.
