Pre-Game rituals

I make game day chili on Saturday afternoon which I eat all game and drink Red Bull, Mountain Dew and Vodka. I have stopped decorating because it's so painful taking all the crap down after a loss.

I KNOW we have some loonies on this site. Let's here it.

Ahhh here it goes.....

mmmkk.... I aslo did the decorating thing, until I got too pissed taking all that crap down after I made about 100 " WE WANT DALLAS " Signs and hung them up in my basement. My friend came up with the idea that every time the Redskins win, I get to bring somthing new down, so I got three things down here now.

Every Sunday morning when I wake up, I shower and as I get dressed, I put on Easy Like Sunday Morning ( a song I only allow myself to listen to on game-day) and get dressed and touch all the stuff in my room, giving little peptalks like " we need a big game" as the song plays. Then I give the team a pep talk in my head as I'm getting ready while playing Al Pachinos - Speech with Inches.

Finally when I make it to my basement for the game, I put on my " headset " ( my dads handheld phone ) and I have actually " Called " 4 whole games , I often times lose it in the middle of the game because its uncomfortable.

After every touchdown, I play hail to the Redskins..... I'm somthing special huh?

I forgot about the music. I pick a new tune every week, but this Sunday I'm going with 'Calm Like a Bomb' by Rage Against the Machine as we won last time I played it.

I plan on going to the 'fridge, grabbing a pack of Mike's Hard Lemonade, sitting down on the couch and clicking the remote on!

Put on my Darrell Green Jersey, put my starting line up figurine of him on the TV, pray to the spirits of Redskins past....

...and start the gamecast.

I always get up to see all the pregame shows. Usually put on my D. Green jersey. And start doing fantasy research. Looks like today I'll have to go to a bar alone if I want to see the game, otherwise i have to listen with a delay, which sucks.

Lately this is how my season has gone.

Get up, drink coffee for a few hours, watch some NFL countdown, play some Madden, take a shower, if it's an early game and it's not on TV I'll listen online, if it's the late game I'll catch the first half out while we're getting dinner then listen to the rest online.

I haven't been able to stomach watching the entire game. If I'm out watching the game and they're stinking up the joint I'll just leave. No need to torture myself for 3 hours.
