Talking Remainder of Skins games WILL BE EXCITING!!!!

Since the Skins playoff hopes are virtually gone, I expect to see the offense finally open up a bit. Realistically, the Skins can only play spoilers for the rest of the season. I see this as being a good thing. This will mean that the games will not affect the outcome of the season for them and they will be able to take chances and not have to worry to much about the outcome for each game. I think Coach Gibbs is going to take chances with Ramsey and actually use the remainder of this season to get him ready for next year.

While this season has been a disappointment, I have seen alot of good things. I didn't actually expect the Skins to make the playoffs even though I did hope for it. I only expected them to go .500 but now I am hoping for that more than expecting it.

All in all, I consider this a learning year for Coach Gibbs and staff. Anyone who truly expected (instead of hoped) the Skins to be contenders this year really needs a reality check. And anyone who says the game has passed Coach Gibbs by needs to become a Ravens fan or jump on another teams bandwagon. Even though Coach Gibbs has been away for 12 years, I still feel he will bring the Skins back to their winning ways. We just have to be patient and have faith.

Don't get me wrong...I still have hopes that something good will come of this season. And I think that the team as a whole is going to finally come together now that the majority of the pressure is off of them. Granted there is still the pressure to win, but the wins won't matter so much except for pride and I see that as the determining factor. I think we will see a new Skins team for the remainder of the season.

I know this is a long winded post..but I wanted to get my thoughts out there and once again all posts are welcome and read.

Thanks for reading....GO SKINS!!!!!

I still don't think that things are beyond us.....yet. If we lose today then we may as well use the remainder of the season for tweaks and adjustments.

I had truly hoped that this year could allow us to atleast be competitive and not have thoughts of next season too early but after today's loss, I see no possible way not to do so at this time. people have been clamoring for a d-lineman to be drafted but I hope we go towards the o-line or wr, possibly mike williams or b. edwards of michigan. I hope the skins somehow pull a 180 and the offense can get it's head out of its ass with the slimest of hopes of still making the playoffs, but this season's few bright spots are being devoured by the negatives thus far and honestly don't show any signs of that trend changing. but ignorantly I will still hold on to that sliver of hope until it's completely gone.

This loss was truly a back breaker. Very little good will come from the rest of the season. I see a lot of fighting on the horizon.

Even though we lost...I was Estatic with the play of Ramsey. He took chances downfield. Even though a few were overthrown...but they were 10 times closer than what Brunell could have done. I think the overthrows were a result of timing issues. In one of the plays, Gardner slowed down after his cut which resulted in the ball being thrown about 5 yards by. That could have been caught if he had been in full stride. I honestly think that next week we will see a change in the Skins offense...they will get it going against the Steelers D. Ramsey is starting to get some of his confidence back. Alot of his passes were on the money Sunday...but his downfield accuracy and timing were a little off. I also see Gibbs going more vertical in the passing instead of horizontal. Don't be surprised if we see some 4 wide receiver sets also.

I wouldn't get too excited about Ramsey just yet, after all the Steelers have the #1 D in the league.

As tough of a task last week was, this week is going to be even tougher.
