I think I made the same observation about 32 other starting QBs in the league...in particular Romo's and the Cowboys. JJ is a f'ing moron but he really isn't bashing McNabb he's just expressing his frustration with having his teams front teeth knocked-out by them too many times. The good news is Kolb is no McNabb.

He didn't say anything about Kolb being an upgrade. All he said was "battle". He also said that there would be fewer knockout puches (which I took as a compliment to McNabb). I dont understand some of the hate on McNabb, even by philly fans.

It's true, i didnt like him at times with the eagles because of his attitude and the fact that he always seemed so insecure. And hey, i mocked him for his injury problems. I was one of the diehards who wanted Garcia to start in 2007 had he stayed. And I'm convinced that they let Garcia walk because McNabb was too insecure and complained to Reid, mostly because the fans loved Garcia and the fans wanted him to stay there.

But he gave their franchise respectability, and like others have said, he was damn good when he was good. Kolb could prove to be an upgrade in time, I dont know. I just dont know why the fans hate on McNabb so much when all he basically did was win for Philly, except for the times when he was missing part of the season due to various injuries.

Jerry Jones: Eagles better off with Kolb than McNabb; no better coach than Andy Reid

P The Eagles have a new quarterback and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones thinks they are better off.


Philadelphia traded Donovan McNabb to the Redskins for a second-round pick in 2010 and a conditional pick next year. Kevin Kolb received a one-year contract extension and an uncontested starting job.


"McNabb helped create those big swings in our games over the last 10 years," Jones told Philly.com. "When he played well, it was like throwing the knockout punch. When he didn't, you were able to throw the knockout punch.


"I don't see that now (with Kolb). I think Kolb and the way they're going about it now, you won't have those big swings one way or the other. I think every game with them is going to be a battle. Because of Kolb and because the makeup of the rest of their team is solid. And their coach, there is not a better coach in the NFL than Andy (Reid)."

He basically said Kolb will be more consistent and the Eagles are better with him.
