Q&A with rookie Terrence Austin -- submit your questions
I've secured a Q&A with our incoming receiver Terrence Austin and thought that it would be a great opportunity to catch the insight of an NFL rookie, fighting for his spot and trying to make a name for himself.
Please submit questions here and I'll relay them to him. It will be his choice on which questions to answer. Hopefully I can follow up with him near the end or after camp because he may have a lot more to share after that experience. Thanks |

First Warpath Q & A with a player younger than GTripp.

Thanks.. I'll be trying to get a few more in during the offseason. He seems like a great guy from my (limited) exposure to him. Not to mention what there is to wonder about someone looking to find his spot on the team, his abilities and what he has to offer, and the transition to the NFL being one of the players that had to stay outside of some offseason activities due to regulations.

Re: Q&A with rookie Terrence Austin -- submit your questions
It's a crazy thing when the people that we look up to start to become younger than us. I mean I was decently gifted when it comes to athletics and my younger brothers who started on my sports at a younger age were able to accomplish more it was kind of mind blowing. To imagine ourselves at that age, though only a handful of years younger, on top of the world ready to be one of the less than 1700 active players out of a population of over 300 million.. that's something incredible.

Nice hook up Tryfuhl.
How has the introduction to the NFL affected him? What if any cautions have the Players Associations given him about next year and the possible work stoppage? At what point did becoming an NFL player become realistic in his mind rather than the dream of a high school kid? |

Terrence Welcome!
1. As your coming in and learning the offense and special teams, besides coaches, which players on the Skins are helping you make that transition and how are they helping you? 2. First thought when you found out you would be catching passes from McNabb?

Can you run routes? If so, you may want to say your goodbyes to Kelly.
What is the biggest transition from the college game to pros, on and off the field?

1. Can you field a punt cleanly?
2. Can you get positive yardage on a punt return? If yes to either of these, get him on the roster...upgrade over Randle El.

Re: Q&A with rookie Terrence Austin -- submit your questions
What is the general feeling around the locker room? Is there a sense that this team will be significantly better than the 2009 squad?
The biggest thing is to welcome him to the Skins. I guess this really says it all: Hail!

How many times are you going to take it to the house on PR/KR?

Re: Q&A with rookie Terrence Austin -- submit your questions
Are you looking forward to the hazing at Training Camp, and are you prepared to be taped to the goal post just as Brian Orakpo was last year?
On a more serious note, I hope you are great return man for the Redskins this year and have you been working alot with the return units of Special Teams? Are you working both punt and kickoff returns or are you working with just one unit? Also what reciever positions have you been working in on the offense? Are you viewed more as a slot reciever or have you been working in the #1 and #2 spots with the second team? Does Coach M. Shanahan and Coach K. Shanahan expect all the recievers to know all the WR positions and routes in the offense?

What do you think about the NCAA sanctions on USC? Will New-weasel truly own LA now?
What return specialists in the NFL do you admire? |
