Receiver adjustment

The beginning of the season there was some talk of the difference between catching a ball from a left-handed QB as opposed to a righty. One on them (I think Coles) said that there is, and and an adjustment had to be made. He said that in addition to the ball spinning the opposite direction, it trails off opposite too.
So in this past game, they went from a lefty that was floating balls out there, to a righty that fires bullets. That's definitely got to be an adjustment, and they even may have to adjust their routes a little to compensate. This has got to be very hard to do mid-game, so I kinda excused the first couple drops after Ramsey came in due to this (but then again, they are professionals!). Not to make excuses, but it also may have had a part in why so many passes were almost picked off...I dunno.
Anyway, it's just another thought about how a full week of practice together with Ramsey will help them get better chemistry and get their timing down better. Thoughts?

I hope that with a week of reps and time with the starting offence things will start to turn around. The only time yesterday we could move the ball was mid-way through the 4th qt when their defence was playing soft.

There is much truth to that & a lefty rolls out to the left instead of the right most of the time & WR's have to adj. to where they are looking for the ball when the QB scrambles out of the pocket. If you notice Gardner learned fast that he needed to break toward the left sideline when Brunell was flushed out of the pocket, but so did the D's.

That makes sense. In comparing the two in present day, Ramsey just throws the ball much more tighter than Brunell. Maybe Mark's floaters would have been better utilized if we threw more timing routes to the receivers...then again alot of times the ball sored over their heads and out of bounce.

After the game Cooley was asked about the difference between Ramsey's throws and Brunell's and Cooley got very excited and basically said the difference in velocity is amazing, said the ball was on top of him before he could even get ready to catch it.
