Washington D.C Fireworks

So I went to Washington D.C for the 4th, yeah what else is new right? Anyways it was my first time checking out the Washington D.C firework show, never have gone because we usually have our own show, just can't afford it anymore with the Redskins season tickets. Was pretty badass, had to go in at 5pm even though the show started at 9:10. That's D.C traffic for you.

Squirrel chillin like a G on the tree branch:

Cowboy Fan in D.C. Really isn't just some crazy dude, I thought he was drunk or high, but now looking back he might just be a nut, anyways he picked up the trash can, threw it on the ground, started kicking it and all the trash that came out of it till the police came and made him clean it all up:

Don't **** with the Coast Guard they'll light you up:

Cause I'm a car nut:

Man, can't wait to live off the beltway again. Seeing these pictures makes me realize how much I miss it.

Re: Washington D.C Fireworks

I was in Vienna this year, and it was somewhat amazing. Where I was sitting, we could see DC fireworks, Vienna fireworks, Tyson's Fireworks, and then 2 other towns we couldn't make out. I felt like a squirrel, my head was spinning around trying to see them all. Very neat!

Yeah I was downtown too- man it was hot! Watched them from the lawn right in front of the Iwo Jima Memorial. Looked to me left and saw the memorial all lit up, to my right and saw the fireworks over the monument. Pretty special. Choked me up a bit actually. USA!

I don't mind coming back to visit, I sure don't miss living up there. That being said, I've seen the fireworks on the Mall several times, nothing like it, anywhere, period. Great pics IB.

Re: Washington D.C Fireworks

I went with my 2 boys. Their first time for the fireworks. Got there around 12 and went to the museums, they liked the Natural History one, but slept in the Air and Space. Go figure... Was wearing Redskins gear, and man the city is hopping with hope for this team this year. Lots of oo-rahs and this team looks good comments (though you could hear the skepticism the past 10 years have created)

It was a perfect night for fireworks! clear skies warm temps etc was pretty awesome for me with my boys!

Re: Washington D.C Fireworks

Yeah I wore my Cooley jersey down and a lot of people talked to me, much more than I can remember since basically 2005. Had a lot of people saying good jersey, Cooley and COOOO. Couple even talked for awhile about the Redskins. Didn't see one Cowboy Fan, except for the idiot playing in the trash.

Re: Washington D.C Fireworks

LOL squirrels are the oddest animals man. My friend had one as a pet, thing was lazy as hell, but sometimes it would get into like FRAP moments, most hilarious stuff ever.
