Re: RIP Don Coryell

As Mr. "Air Coryell" had a big influence on Coach Gibbs and our SB winning teams. Thanks for the great tree of Coach's you gave opportunity and developed into some of the very best.

RIP to a true innovator

Amazing offensive mind....we'd have zero Superbowl rings without him.
I'm glad he led a full long life.

Re: RIP Don Coryell

RIP. Thanks for teaching Joe Gibbs your wisdom.

"I have strong feelings about this, in part because I played for him," Gibbs said during a press conference at the Hall of Fame in 2008. "He had no ego, had great common sense and had an intensity for the game. He was extremely creative and fostered things that are still in today's game because he was so creative. I think he's affected a lot of coaches, and I'd like to see him get in."

Man that sucks. I know Gibss was lobbying for him to get in the HOF. Would've been nice to see him get in before he passed. He was way ahead of his time. RIP.

R.I.P. coach Coryell . Amazing offensive mind , the Card's were a pain in the ass during the mid '70's < sorry Mel Gray , you did not make that td catch > , The SD Chargers had one of the best offenses in NFL history from '78-'82 . R.I.P.

I believe 3 of the top 5 offenses (see #5) are due to Coryell's influence:
