Ramsey's game..

I'm writing this with about 2:00 left to go in the third, were still down 17-0 so things may change. Thusfar, all of our prayers have been awnsered and Patrick Ramsey has entered the game. To this point, Ramsey has played fairly poorly, well very poorly. Now I know the few who were loyal to Brunell, will be saying see see see, but I still disagree. First of all, I think its obvious that it wasent all Brunells fault and it wasent as much of his fault as maybe we said it was. Howeve,r he was missing recivers terribly, and just couldnt throw the ball effetivley. I defintley think Ramsey needs to stay in for the Redskins the remainder of the season. Bugel said this week that Ramsey wasent getting too many snaps in practice... and its very obvious. The whole point of this, is we made our bed, we ALL better sleep in it. No turing on Ramsey until he has had a fair shake.

Yeah, 210 yards, but he should have had about 6 INTs. Playing with the first team could help change that.

Just a matter of time before a certain someone will jump on this thread and bring up the picks from the Giants game.

That said the only question is why did it take this long to make the switch. If Ramsey started the game, the Skins win. Hopefully this is the last of the Number 8 Car.

I can easily say after today... I'd really like to see Ramsey start next week. This is the second time this season he's come into a situation where the skins were down by 10 points or more and he was expected to engineer some kind of miracle comeback. Well today he almost did and I think that if he were given a fair chance to perform under less pressure he could come through with flying colors. Ramsey was put in there to throw the ball down the field and the Bengals knew that. Despite that, he got 10 points on the board for us and even a shot at tying with 1 min left. I say give him the nod next week Coach Gibbs.

Is it just me or did Coles really look happy to see Ramsey come in?

ramsey'll be straight once he's starting... remember he's young and just trying to be a hero when he gets dropped into a lost cause game... i feel that with first team practice and the job solely his, he'll pick up the system and succeed

If we learned anything today I think it became clear that the offensive problems aren't all on the QB.

Everyone needs to step up their games, the line, the WR's and the QB.

but we want a qb that brings our team together and fires them up... not some washed-up lamer who is as sorry as a sack of rotten apples... i think the team needs a person to rally behind and hopefully ramsey will be it

ramsey made more throws downfield today then brunell made all year. If anythign that stretches the D and gives Portis more opporutnities. Portis was running great today but we played from behind the whoel time.

I think that is because they have Coles running benches, post-corners and in patterns in the 15-30 yard range. Unfortunately, Brunell doesn't really have the arm strength to get the ball to the sides of the hash marks so that eliminates a lot of Coles' patterns.

With Ramsey in there, I think you'll see those 20 yard gains increase considerably.

We have a complete tradeoff at QB...

With Brunell, you get a game manager. A guy who won't stretch the field, knows when to throw the ball away (which he is VERY good at... incompletions are his forte), and won't turn it over.

With Ramsey you get a kid who comes from a pass-first college program, tutored by the 'Ol Ball-Coach (and please, no one think that Ramsey actually likes Gibbs' system better than Spurrier's... he really likesd Stevie) who will throw downfield even in triple coverage. He will keep safeties off the line to help your RB, but also throw them a couple throughout the game...

So whats better... Lots of yards AND turnovers or few yards and fewer turnovers? What's more important to you guys? Yards or Turnovers? I think that'd be a good poll... just to do something that isn't just Brunell vs. Ramsey....

Personally, I dream of the QB Genetic Chamber where we can keep Ramsey's Arm and Accuracy, Brunell's Head and Legs (even when he's 57 he'll be more mobile and aware of the pocket collapsing than Ramsey).. THEN we'd have ourselves a QB!!
