F. . . Parents who let their children run wild

So there I am trying to have a bite to eat with a nice gal. Behind me there were three young girls with two children. The kids were screaming and the girls clearly didn't know what to do. They were running all over the place too.

My lady said that children ought to be seen not heard. One of the hoochies didn't like that and starts to cuss out my lady. That didn't go over well with me and we'll just omit the rest of the story.

I've cussed out family members for letting their rug rats act a fool in a restraurant before. Am I in the wrong here? If some trollop starts cussing my table out, what law am I breaking if I throw a glass of water on her? Can I mace her? What about a stun gun?

I can understand a little giggle her, a little whine there, but this shit is outrageous! My mother would have slapped the taste out of my mouth had I acted like that. Am I being unreasonable here?

What Sayeth The Mob?

Should we merge this thread with...

Something tells me that if the parents let their kids run wild that trying to scold them with mother goose era phrases could lead to no good.

I think this is different? Actually I didn't read the other thread. This is specific for eating out. That and the fact I want free legal advice of tasering fat trollops in Portsmouth.

I hate wild children too, but I would have to honestly say that if you tazed my child, regardless of how mischievous they were being that I would go to jail for either assault or malicious wounding if not murder.

I was talking about the mother. No one is holding the children responsible.

Then honestly you might get charged with assault or malicious wounding.

Edit: You taught me what trollop meant today.

How about doing the adult thing and just walking away?

So I'm supposed to sit there and let her cuss me? That's verbal assault. If someone comes up to your table and cusses out your woman, are you going to sit there and just let it happen?

Maybe you can just hit them while their parents aren't looking? That should incentivise them to keep an eye on their kids at all times.

Eating out is discussed in that thread as well.

Do you happen to double for the Geico cavemen by any chance?

Re: F. . . Parents who let their children run wild

i posted my story in the other thread, but the same thing happened to me, except that i had to step up in a situation because things were going from bad to worse. Something had to be done. The lady started yelling at me and stuff, calling me a baby killer and a rapist and everything else (i was in uniform at the time, and servicemen get that kind of treatment very frequently now)...she had a boyfriend and he looked at me, but must have decided otherwise...anyway i would have banged him out, cause thats how pissed i was.

Long story short, the management threw the people out because they had too many complaints.

Point here is this: if your kids are so bad in public and you do nothing, and it gets to the point that you are ruining it for other people, then you deserve whatever you get....IMO

Sadly normally the parents who allow this have no parenting skills or common sense and deem the behavior normal. Probably becasue the cicrcus that you see unwinding in front of you at the restaurent is a normal occurance in their household.

I don't feel like going round and round on this subject again but don't let a few bad apples make you think the whole bushel is bad.

Not speaking directly to you Solid Snake, more the mob as TTE put it.

Re: F. . . Parents who let their children run wild

i wanted to post again so people didn't get the wrong idea about me. We stumbled into a hellish situation, and i was pressed to act, from the urging of other people, and my own sense of doing the right thing. Anyway, i too was with my lady, and at that point i would have had to get physical if it got to that point. I had asked her in a nice way if she could please handle them, for the sake of the other patrons, and at that point she flipped.

I could deal with the verbal abuse, but if there was even any chance that my wife would be harmed, then i would have to act with force. I'm not a bad guy, and maybe i shouldn't have got involved, but it seems like when things go bad, i'm always the person who gets put up to doing something about it....
