DC Divas take on Sports Junkies

The rumor is that the Sports Junkies have challenged the DC Divas to a full contact football game, called the Turkey Bowl, on Nov 22nd. This should be a chance for all you guys that think these women are "disrespecting the sport" to see for yourself that they can play ball. The Junkies actually have it advertised on their website.
Although I won't be playing, I'm sure I will be there. Hope to meet some of you guys.

The sports junkies are wimps when it comes to being Redskin fans. So I would imagine they also will get their butts kicked. Go Divas!!!

dc divas are the local female football team... they ended up #2 in their league this season, and are a very good team.

The sports junkies are 3 local guys that have a radio show every morning (99.1 whfs) and talk about sports and betting the entire time... hours and hours each day.

looks like they're getting a team together to take on the divas and they're going to get crunched. biggirl was on the divas this last year, but has since retired...

Actually it's four guys and they no longer go by the name the Sports Junkies. They simply go by The Junkies since they have diminished the amount of time they devote to sports. I'd say they actually only discuss sports about 50% of the time now. Depending on the makeup of their "team" I would be stunned if they don't man-handle the divas though simply based on strength and speed. Of course I have never seen this team play so I talking out of my ass. I would imagine they'll have a major advantage in that they'll actually have a play-book and have praticed and played together. On second thought this might be tough for the Junkies team to win.

Let us know what happens biggirl, it would be great to see the women kick the crap out of these dopes.

I used to listen to a local "sports" talk radio show when I lived in MA and the guy was constantly talking about betting, poker, horse racing, etc. He only talked sports about 30% of the time and when he did he was lame as hell. I guess gambling has grown in popularity but I don't want to hear about it all the time.

I guess I wasn't the only one that thought this because I just checked his website and he got the boot shortly after I moved back to NY.

Here's what I have heard. The Junkies will have 13 guys. The Divas will have their whole team. I will always say that guys are usually faster, usually stronger and have the advantage of usually playing football as children. We have had 4 years experience at the most, but we love the game, are ultra competitive, and have some great athletes on the team. I think the Junkies will be in for a surprise. The game is supposed to be at the PG County Sportsplex, outside of FedEx Field, Monday Nov 22nd. If you come to the game, find me and say hi. I will be wearing my Divas jersey...#90.
