Portis expects to be back

http://www.dcprosportsreport.com/articles/washington-redskins/portis-expects-to-be-back.html

Quote:
Down in his home base of south Florida, injured Redskins TB Clinton Portis spoke to Rick Maese of The Washington Post about the new regime at Redskins Park and the quarterback he picked a fight with last season, Jason Campbell.

Re: Portis expected to be back

Thats really some breaking new there.LOL He says he just wants to have fun so i guess that explains why he does not want to practice or workout in the off season. Also your title makes it sound like it coming from the team and not CP.

Yeah, I changed expected to expects.

I just wonder how Portis will do with having to be at OTAs, training camp, and participating in pre-season. These were all strong points hit by Shanahan. Discipline. Portis and discipline don't go together.

Re: Portis expected to be back

This is bad news for the redskins. They need to be moving forward, not backward...

This just means CP expects to be back, not the Redskins expect him to be back. We'll see. I'll trust MS to determine if he's going to be part of the team next year.

Re: Portis expected to be back

No that debate was fine on its own thread until somebody had to criticise the admin...beneil called Matty dim and that was the end of it...that thread was just going around in circles though....reading from the beginning you can see where it all started going downhill lol.

Re: Portis expected to be back

This thread i dont think will do that...you should go read the other one. It was crazy with Beneil. I've since made peace with him, but man, some people can be so stubborn when proving their point.

Re: Portis expected to be back

The poll on the DCPSR page is faulty. Regarding new uniforms, it offers a choice between "keep the B&G" and "change it up."

To my knowledge there are thoughts about new uniforms but no one is thinking of changing the team's colors.

Re: Portis expected to be back

If Portis were to come back and do the right thing, then this new administration will prove able to do something the precious one's haven't been able to do.

Re: Portis expected to be back

I'll take a motivated Cliton Portis on my team in a heart beat. Especially if we pick a QB of the future in the draft. CP protects against the blitz and can keep the chains moving. I do not see any reason why CP couldn't be just as effective as Thomas Jones was for the Jets, if not more. (provided we shore up the O-line).

Re: Portis expected to be back

Well I expected Portis to be back and I'm glad that he is. He knows what to expect to from Shanny and he knows what he's getting from Clinton. Same as anyother player on this team.

I really don't get why you all hate/dislike that guy so much.

I don't think anyone actually hates (strong word) dislikes Portis, they just don't like some of the things he does and says.
