Monday AM Pundits: What are they saying?

Here is our weekly thread on what the Monday Morning media pundits are saying about the Redskins 27-24 loss to the Eagles. Your NFL analysts, all in one place, right here at DC Pro Sports Report.
Clark Judge: Judgments (CBS Sportsline)
Philadelphia can exhale. Not only did the Eagles survive Washington; defensive end Juqua Parker could have — no, should have — been called for a personal foul when he body-slammed Jason Campbell on Washington’s last snap.
Again, I am not one to blame any losses purely on officiating, and I don’t here either. To me, the Redskins 27-24 loss is on the head of Zorn/Lewis/Smith for the conservative play calling towards the end of the game after Justin Tryon’s interception. Not once did the Redskins remotely even try to score, which would have been the dagger to the throat of Philadelphia.
Perhaps one of the more interesting pieces is down under Redskins blog section. Redskins fans are reacting more positively to THIS Redskins team compared to the one we started with. Is it having an effect on Dan Snyder? Could Dan Snyder be realizing that you don't need over priced vets looking for a big pay day to win?

With all the injuries and you see guys out there performing as well if not better than the guy ahead of him, you can't help but get excited over that, and hope that the morons at the top are taking notice.

Agreed Matt. I still sit down with the feeling that I know the Redskins will lose, but damn, it much more fun and exciting to watch. These guys are playing harder and with more enthusiasm and energy at a FRACTION OF THE COST!

I think one reason you may not have seen as much activity online last night has to do with the fact that it was a holiday weekend

Quite possible, but int he past, the Sunday after thanksgiving at ES, hR, and other boards experienced some forum growth because people got home from Holidays elsewhere and spent some time online catching up. I dont know, guess it will be an interesting comparison next week.

Yeah I can say that things are generally slower on the weekends to begin with, add in a holiday weekend and it's definitely going to result in less traffic. It's the turkey hangover. Last week's Cowboys game thread almost hit 5,000 posts while yesterday's thread was about 1,300 less.

Agreed. I get tired of someone playing whether they're getting the job done or not just because they're a vet. At least these guys give me some hope and play with enthusiasm.

Re: Monday AM Pundits: What are they saying?

Although the off season would not be exciting with out the perverbial top name aquisition, during the season it's the no names showing what they can do. Again Mason had a good run only to have it returned for some idiot holding. Tryon did something Rogers can't. Ganther looked awsome. Kelly caught a nice pass. Thomas looked great stepping up.

My fear is we started out bad and everyone wanted Zorn and Cerrato's head. Now I find people saying they would not be supprised if DS keeps the status quo for the most part and make Sherm Lewis OC. Just cause they had two games with over 20 points people act satisfied, which I don't want DS to feel and think lets keep it the same for one more yr. I think the last few games or atleast the last game fans need to chant "Cerrato must go" and hope DS does something.

You are too bro! We handle it pretty well.

Luckily it was on TV here since the Lions played Thursday.
