Thumbs up and Thumbs Down

http://dcprosportsreport.com/2009/11/15/thumbs-upthumbs-down-3.html

Quote:
THUMBS UP Ladell Betts hasn’t gotten many chances to run the ball, due to the team’s obsessive compulsion to make Clinton Portis the center of everything they do on offense. With Portis’ injury, though, Betts is finally getting his chance and he’s making the most of it. After rushing for 70 yards and 1 TD on 14 carries last week against Atlanta, Betts rushed for 114 yards and 1 TD on 26 carries [4.4 ypc].

Re: Thumbs up and Thumbs Down

Thumbs up: Offense getting it together. Hunter Smith for being Hunter Smith. The two Sherm's for getting the rookies involved. Portis for being injured.

Thumbs down: Suisham for not being able to kick inbounds twice, Well. I think that's really the only thing I didn't like about today's game.

Nice.

Yea I gave Suisham a pas because he has been one of the only bright spots this year and I 'm sure that he was told to kick away from whats his name.

Re: Thumbs up and Thumbs Down

^^ Agreed on Suisham not being able to kick the ball in bounds.

Thumbs Up: The Oline. After the bashing that the oline has been taking its good to see a unit that was punching the Denver Dline in the face. We got real nice penetration into the Denver Defense. Nice Job!! It's good to see some domintation up front in the run game.

Thumbs Down: The Redskins secondary on the 2 plays in the first half to Marshall. I mean come on guys. You need to fear Denver's T.O.

Re: Thumbs up and Thumbs Down

Thumbs up: 1. Oline looked f*ing great compared to what we are used to. 2. Betts and Rock did a good job running today

Thumbs down: 1.JC, Jason played horrible in the first half 2. The defense played like a$$hole the first half

About the thumbs down which impressed me is both mention the first half, for the second week in a row we came out at half time with adjustments and a better game plan played great. Sooooo that is reassuring that progress is being made

Unsung heroes who made plays today were Kelly,Thomas, and Ganther. Jones gets his due but, Heyer deserves some too. He's good to be as young as he is.

Biggest thumb up: Buges
Down: Carlos Rodgers. Apart from routinely sucking, he can't even pay attention and cheerlead when benched?

Re: Thumbs up and Thumbs Down

Thumbs up: The entire offense line, Ladell Betts and Rock Cartwright. The offensive line did a very good job. Campbell had time to make plays. The running game wore out the Broncos defense. They were gasping for air in the fourth quarter.

Thumbs down: The secondary. I've never seen so many wide open receivers in my life. What ever was said or done at half time, corrected the problem.

Honorable mention to the two Shermans. A very well balanced play calling. Once they had the Broncos against the ropes they kept punching them in the mouth. The Skins for once looked like a professional football team.

More cowbell and more Ganther! That boy is hungry and desperate to make good things happen.

And how about Devin Thomas, who finally began to look more like the playmaker that we thought we had drafted. Let's hope he keeps that up.

For the first time since he was drafted, DT actually made me smile today. It was a pleasant change of pace from the painful grimmace that watching him usually brings.

I don't think he has a chance in hell of living up to his draft status, but he's come so unbelievably far since Week Two of the preseason that I can't really ever question his character again.
