Matty:

Actually, it is a lot more thoughtful and analytical than that.

Joe T makes some good points. And you know how he likes to talk!

Re: Theismann and Riggo Part I

I think Joey T was spot on in terms of his comments about confidence and rhythm on offense.

Man, if they had only beaten the Raiders that day. I know the Raiders were a good team and very underrated that year, but that was a game the Skins probably win 9 out of 10 times.

Re: Theismann and Riggo Part I

GOOD int. Joe brings out a point I have long lamented....confidence. The team and the fans do not have it. Many of you guys do not rememeber the Skins.........of Old, of Joe1, and even before. They HAD that confidence he speaks of. The team knew as did the fans the Defense WOULD stop the opposing offense on the final drive to win the game. The team and the fans KNEW of there was 30 seconds on the clock and we needed 6, Joey T, Doug, or Ryp would get it done NO PROBLEM.
It is a shame that these things are long gone..........
BUT, that is the price of change, right? Long live the NEW GM....HTTR

Oh, and BTW, if you never went to RFK.....you missed a great experience. It literally SHOOK (like a tremor) with the intensity of the fans....opposing teams hated RFK

No kidding. 4 quarters from NFL immortality. That game still kills me.
